National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test 2026 ( NIMCET )
NIMCET 2026 exam date is going to be released at nimcet.admissions.nic.in. Candidates are advised to regularly check and stay updated with the NIMCET dates so that they do not miss any important exam and admission-related events.
To participate in the entrance test, candidates must fill and submit the online NIMCET application form. The official NIMCET 2026 application form last date is expected to be around 2nd week of April 2026.
No applications will be accepted after the last date. The online application form correction facility will also open for the candidates. The final date to make corrections in the application form will be the third week of May 2026.

NIMCET 2026 Important Dates Highlights
Candidates can check here the important information about the NIMCET 2026 exam dates so as not to miss any events of the admission process. Keep checking this page or the official portal to stay updated on the schedule. Below are the tentative dates:
- NIMCET 2026 Application Form Dates: The exam authorities will release the NIMCET 2026 application form online by the third week of December 2025. Candidates would need to fill out and submit the NIMCET application form before the last date, which is around the second or third week of May 2026. All required personal, academic and contact details must be mentioned on the application form. Registered candidates can access the NIMCET 2026 application form correction facility online.
- NIMCET Admit Card Date: The official NIMCET admit card will be released online. Candidates can access the NIMCET admit card at nimcet.admissions.nic.in. To download the NIMCET 2026 hall ticket, the candidates must log in with their user ID and password.
- NIMCET 2026 Exam Date: The authorities will soon announce the official NIMCET 2026 exam date. The candidates will be able to attempt NIMCET 2026 as a computer-based test in the first/second week of June 2026.
- NIMCET Answer Key Release Date: Exam authorities will initially release the NIMCET 2026 provisional answer key in the 2nd or 3rd week of June 2026. The correct responses to the question paper will be available through the answer key. Objections against the provisional answer key will be accepted against a fee. After checking the objections, the final NIMCET answer key will be released.
- NIMCET Result Date: NIMCET 2026 result is going to be released in the last week of June 2026. Candidates can download the result as a scorecard. The scorecard will include the individual score and the All India Rank.
- NIMCET Counselling 2026 Dates: The NIMCET counselling process will start in July 2026 tentatively. While registering for counselling, candidates must fill in colleges in order of preference. Seat allotment will be done based on the candidate's rank, college preferences and seat availability.

NIMCET Application Process
Follow below steps to fill the NIMCET application form.
- Go to nimcet.admissions.nic.in
- Click the NIMCET exam registration link.
- Download the application form.
- Fill in your details including your Name, Gender, DOB, email ID, and contact details to register.
- Select your exam centre.
- Upload your photograph and digital signature.
Your application number is going to be generated. You will then be prompted to create a secure password to access the student portal later. Do that!

Here is the list of documents you must carry to the NIMCET test centre -
- Printed copy of your NIMCET admit card
- A valid government-issued photo ID (e.g. Aadhaar Card, Passport, PAN Card, or Voter ID). No soft copies will be accepted.
- A recent passport-sized photograph.
Please note that calculators, mobile phones or any electronic gadgets are strictly NOT allowed in the exam hall.
No, you are only supposed to carry the hard copy of the NIMCET admit card. You must keep in mind that the invigilators will not allow you if you are not carrying the hard coPy of your admit card. No. You cannot manually convert CGPA to percentage or vice-versa to qualify. If your university uses a 10-point scale, a 6.5 CGPA is the minimum requirement for General/OBC candidates.

The NIMCET application edit window usually opens 2-3 days after the last day of application. Historically, it opens for 2 days within which applicants can make any edits in their application if required. Please note that no requests in this regard shall be entertained thereafter.
