Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU) has declared the results for HPNLET 2017 exam conducted for BA LLB/BBA LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD course admissions on its official website. Aspirants can check their HPNET exam by clicking on “HPNLET 2017 Result tab”.

HP NLU has declared separate lists with names of aspirants shortlisted for admission through HP-NET 2017. The national law university has declared All India Rank list and All HP State List. Under these, separate merit lists have been declared for students under different categories such as General, Defence Personnel (DP), Kashmiri Migrants (KM), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Scheduled Caste (ST) and Scheduled tribes (ST).

Candidates can secure admission in BA LLB/BBA LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD courses offered at HP NLU if they secure a spot in HP-NLET merit list and fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria as specified by the national law university. The official website of HP-NET 2017 informs that aspirants meet the eligibility criteria for HPNLET exam if:

1. They secure 60 marks or above (General, Persons with Disabilities, Migrants of Jammu and Kashmir)
2. They secure 45 marks or above (SC and ST category)

In a scenario wherein two or more aspirants secure the same rank in HP-NET 2017 then tie-break in such a scenario is done as per the below mentioned criteria:

• Candidate with higher marks in 10+2 or equivalent exam is ranked higher.
• If tie still remains, then candidate with higher marks in Class 10 is ranked higher.
• If tie still remains, then higher age/older candidate is ranked higher.

HP-NLET 2017 Toppers Profiles

HP-NLET 2017 was conducted on May 21, 2017 across 19 test cities in the country. Most of the students who took HP-NET exam shared that the exam was easy to attempt.

The topper of HP-NET 2017 for UG programmes under All India list is Rashi Sharma from Uttarakhand. She has a score of 121.5/150 marks in the law entrance exam. Rank 2 and Rank 3 in HPNLET exam are Bharat from Haryana and Sajith Anjickal from Uttar Pradesh.

HP-NLET 2017 topper for one year LLM course (in All India list) is Mehreen Manzoor who has secured 80.5/150 marks. Her score in Part A of HPNLET exam is 63.5 and in Part B of the exam is 17. Rank 2 holder in HP-NET LLM exam is Anshuman Yadav and Rank 3 is Aditya Rathi with 73.5 and 69.75 marks respectively.
