IGNOU Law Admission Process

IGNOU's School of Law (SoL) was established in 2005. It offers various postgraduate and advanced certification programmes through distance learning mode. The University also offers PhD in regular mode. There are two academic sessions for admissions at IGNOU, in January and July. IGNOU Law courses applications are accepted online and admission to all PG Law programmes is merit-based.

IGNOU Law Admission Dates 2021

IGNOU admission 2021 July session dates are out. For IGNOU admission (January intake), the process generally ends in February every year, however, due to the ongoing pandemic, the University extended its application dates. The complete schedule regarding IGNOU admission dates 2021 for Law programmes is as follows:

IGNOU Law Admission 2021: PGD, Advanced Certificate

The University offers PGD and PGC programmes at the postgraduate level. The minimum duration to complete PGD is one year and the maximum is three years. The programme duration of PGC course is six months and a candidate is allowed to complete the course within two years. IGNOU admission is merit-based for both the courses. IGNOU PhD Admission 2021

Admission to PhD programmes at IGNOU takes place in July session every year. The minimum duration to complete the course after registration is three years and the maximum is six years. Women candidates and persons with disability (more than 40% disability) are allowed a relaxation of two years for PhD in the maximum duration.
