  • Admissions in my college are going on at a high rate. The admission process has been transformed completely. The students are now taking admission through online mode only. The college has changed the basic eligibility criteria as well. Now, along with the LPU NEST examination, they will consider JEE Main examination for admission in BTech. Moreover, the students can take admission in MBA by appearing in the interview only after meeting the basic eligibility criteria. There is no need to appear for LPU NEST for MBA admission. Also, they had made it mandatory to appear in any valid national examination or LPU NEST for all Science related Law, and PhD courses. My college is trying their best to select a suitable candidate in every course. I would advise the students to appear for the entrance tests as it will not only help you to judge your capability but will make the admission process easy. Also, they are providing a good amount of scholarship to the candidates who have scored well in the entrance examination.
  • The last date of LPU NEST registration for phase two has been extended to May 31, 2020. Also, the last date for admission is May 31.
  • For the communication process, the students who are willing to take admission in LPU are communicating with their registered mobile number or their registered email ID. This is the most convenient way of communication during this pandemic. Moreover, the online process of admission has made it easier for students to take admission from their home.
  • The university completely understands that this is a stressful time for the students who are seeking admission in LPU for their higher studies. They are closely analysing the current pandemic scenario for the admission process, and the management of the university has taken several measures to help students in joining the higher studies at LPU.
  • The question arising in the minds of the students, whose board/ university exams have been postponed, whether or not they can take admission without these grades. The answer is yes, they can take admission without the final grades or marks. The university will provide a reasonable time for these students to submit their final report card of the result. However, keep in mind that after the results these students must fulfil the basic eligibility criteria to continue in the university.
  • There are several major steps that have been taken by LPU to support the students in taking the admission. These steps are:
  1. Students can take admission by paying Rs 10, 000 provisional fees.
  2. There is the flexibility that students can pay their remaining fees till June 30, 2020.
  3. The most important thing is that the cut-off has been reduced from 80% to 70% in their qualifying examination for supporting the students to pursue their higher education.
  4. The university has come up with a new scholarship scheme for the COVID warriors named, “COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship”
