IIT Roorkee offers MBA programme in full time mode which is ranked No.18 by the NIRF (2024 all India rating). For admission to 95 seats selection of candidates is done through CAT exam. IIT Roorkee MBA admission process starts after the announcement of CAT result. The institute invites applications from aspirants who have complete graduation and cleared CAT exam of the given academic year. The IIT Roorkee MBA admission were done through CAT 2025 score. IIT Roorkee MBA Admission Process 2025
IIT Roorkee MBA admission process includes two stages. In both stages CAT score is taken into consideration. However, JEE or JEE (Adv.) qualified IIT Graduates with CGPA 7 and above on a 10-point scale are exempted from the CAT and will be directly called for a Personal Interview.
Stage 1: Candidates shortlisting for PI-WAT round
State 2: Final selection of the candidates for admission based on a combined score (CAT, PI, academics)
IIT Roorkee MBA Admission: Eligibility Criteria
To apply for IIT Roorkee MBA programme, candidates are required to fulfill the following academic eligibility criteria:
- Candidate must have graduation degree or equivalent recognized by UGC, in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PD candidates).
- Final-year graduation students are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, and they will have to submit their passing certificate with required minimum marks or above by the month of September.
IIT Roorkee MBA Admission Criteria: CAT Cut Off
The minimum IIT Roorkee MBA cut offs required to be selected for the PI round are given below category wise. Candidates scoring above the given CAT cut offs will be eligible for selection to PI round. The actual CAT cut offs are expected to be higher:

IIT Roorkee MBA Admission Process: Final Selection
After the PI round, the admission authority will prepare the final merit list by evaluating candidate’s performances and credentials. Check below the components and weightage of final selection for admission to IIT Roorkee MBA:

DOMS IIT Roorkee offers admission to courses based on entrance exam score. However, the institute offers direct admission in MBA course under the Golden Girl Scheme for Female Applicants. To get direct admission, aspirants must be a first rank holder (gold medalist) female candidates from an IIT or institute/ university within the top 50 ranks (overall category) in the NIRF ranking.
DOMS IIT Roorkee considers CAT score for admission to flagship course i.e. MBA. Besides, students are also evaluated based on their academic performance, work experience and performance in the personal interview round. The institute conducts a PI round to select candidates for EMBA programme. DOMS IIT Roorkee shortlists aspirants for PhD course based on GATE, JEST, UGC NET, etc. scores.
Candidates willing to seek PhD admission at DOMS IIT Roorkee are shortlisted based on GATE/ UGC NET/ CSIR NET. The final selection is based on their past academic record, score in the entrance exam, and performance in PI round.
Aspirants selected for the PI round are invited three-week in advance from the date of interview. The interview process is scheduled in both online and offline mode in the last week of March. For offline mode, the candidates have to come to IIT Roorkee Campus. Aspirants need to bring the originals of all certificates supporting their eligibility. Candidates with work experience need to bring an experience letter or joining letter along with the salary slip of last two months.
DOMS IIT Roorkee MBA cutoff 2024 is not available on a public platform and is only accessible to students who appeared for the CAT exam via their account login. In 2024, the overall DOMS IIT Roorkee CAT cutoff 2024 was 95 for the General AI category students. The sectional CAT cutoff for the same stood at 50. For more details, refer to the table below:

Offer letters for admission will be released and sent to selected candidates by email. Those who wish to accept the offer will have to confirm and complete admission process within the given deadline. If one doesn’t confirm admission, their seat will be offered to candidates in waitlist.
