IIT (ISM) Dhanbad offers MBA and MBA Business Analytics programmes through its Department of Management Studies. The full-time MBA programme has 120 seats on offer. IIT Dhanbad’s MBA programme is ranked among top 50 best management courses in India. In the NIRF 2024 ranking, the institute was ranked 46 for the MBA programme. The CAT cut offs for IIM Bangalore hovers between 97-100 percentile. The qualifying CAT cut off required for being eligible for IIM Bangalore's Written Ability test (What) and Personal Interview PI is 85 percentile for General category students, whereas for SC candidates, it is 70 percentile. IIT Dhanbad MBA Eligibility Criteria 2025
- Graduation or equivalent degree with minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.0 out of 10 (55% marks or CGPA of 5.5 for SC/ST/PwD categories) in their degree from a recognized University.
- Final year graduation students are also eligible for admission but will remain provisional until they submit the qualifying degree (by September 30,2025).
- For MBA Business Analytics, candidates are required to have a BTech/BE degree with at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.0 out of 10 CGPA (55% marks in aggregate or 5.5 CGPA out of 10 in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories).

IIT Dhanbad MBA Admission Criteria 2025: Work Experience
Work experience of candidates will be calculated on the basis of duration of the job they were employed for:

Application:
To get admission in IIT Dhanbad BTech course, candidates have to fill the online application form must and check the eligibility criteria of each course before filling the form.
Entrance Exam:
Candidates seeking admission need to take JEE Main exam and then JEE Advanced. Aspirants need to qualify both the entrance exams to be considered for JoSAA Counselling.
Counselling & Seat Allotment:
Further, the students who secure the cutoff marks are called for JoSAA Counselling, based on which the seat allotment is carried out.
Yes, it is possible to score 99.99 percentile in CAT in first attempt. Many toppers of previous years' are such candidates. One must study in a focussed manner and do a lot of mock test practice. Exam day strategy is also crucial for better performance.

You can get into the BTech courses offered by IIT (ISM) Dhanbad through JEE Mains. However, JEE Mains isn't enough. One must clear JEE Advanced to get into any of the IITs. The same applies to the IIT Dhanbad admissions as well. To summarise:
