IIT (ISM) Dhanbad offers MBA and MBA Business Analytics programmes through its Department of Management Studies. The full-time MBA programme has 120 seats on offer. IIT Dhanbad’s MBA programme is ranked among top 50 best management courses in India. In the NIRF 2025 ranking, the institute was ranked 48 for the MBA programme. IIT Dhanbad MBA Eligibility Criteria 2026

  • Candidate must be a graduate or have an equivalent degree with minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.0 out of 10 (55% marks or CGPA of 5.5 for SC/ST/PwD categories) in their degree from a recognized University.
  • Final year graduation students are also eligible for admission but will remain provisional until they submit the qualifying degree (by September 30, 2026).
  • For MBA Business Analytics, candidates are required to have a BTech/BE degree with at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.0 out of 10 CGPA (55% marks in aggregate or 5.5 CGPA out of 10 in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories).

The qualifying cut offs for CAT are release category wise - General, NC/OBC. General-EWS, SC/ST, PwD. The qualifying cut offs percentiles of General category candidate is higher than then rest. The final CAT cut offs are not released publically. The cut offs are estimate on the basis of candidate's selection for What-PI. The final CAT cut offs for General category candidate is also higher than then rest.
