All the students who are graduating in 2021, with minimum CGPA of 5.5 or nearby for those who were admitted were in 2017 or with the current minimum CGPA of 5 or near for the batches who got admitted in batches 2017 onwards, are eligible to sit for the placements, subject to successful fee payment for preparatory classes.

Students who fail to meet the minimum CGPA requirement will not be allowed to register for placements until they score the minimum CGPA mentioned below. In this case, the placement registration process will reopen for these students. There are various packages set up for the students who opt for placements. Students should ascertain their average package, which is the dream package they are after before they get a chance to sit in the placement drive.

In case, attendance for a student is less than 80 percent in placement preparatory classes and the overall score is less than 40 percent in the mock test, they can sit only for placement packages up to Rs 4 LPA or Rs 12,000 per month.

It is mandatory to attend placement preparatory classes. The course duration is more than a year or in other words, we can say that until the time you will not get placed. Every Saturday you have to attend your preparatory classes. There is a ‘Centre of Professional Enhancement’ that works in tandem with the placement cell.

There are several dos and don’ts for meeting placement eligibility criteria as prescribed by LPU:-

  • Students must maintain a satisfactory CGPA of 7 or near to that with no standing arrears to be eligible for enough placement opportunities.
  • It is mandatory for all the registered students to go for intern with good organisations, related to their MBA specialisations.
  • You should be industry certified to work with some new tools and techniques or new branches of management.
  • Students must complete their live projects or research work related to their specialisations, to help demonstrate their skills and knowledge in their respective fields.
  • Student must strengthen their aptitude and reasoning skills.
  • Get ready with the CV/ Resume and be aware of every word that is mentioned on the CV/Resume.
  • Avoid frequent updating of phone numbers or email id that is submitted to the placement cell.
  • It’s very important to keep the academic details updated on placement portals with the most recent qualifications.
