In any GD, the interviewer checks the communication skills of the candidate, are they capable of sharing their point of view, speaking meaningfully, encouraging others to speak.

In an interview, every round is an elimination round, it means that if you underperform in any of them, you will be rejected. In sales, business associates, call executive job profiles, GD is one of the compulsory rounds, for the technical profile.

In any GD, the interviewer checks the communication skills of the candidate, are they capable of sharing their point of view, speaking meaningfully, encouraging others to speak. If GD is already started and you want to say something then first raise your hand so that others can understand. Wait for your turn and then go ahead. At last, the conclusion is one of the important factors to make an impression on the interviewer. So, if you have time to conclude, then make sure it includes both pros and cons about the topic. Don’t be biased with one side, consider all the aspects.

Always remember one thing, don’t give your introduction in between the GD until and unless it is the interviewer asks you to. You can begin by saying, “I just want to add more points in it,” and start speaking. If you want to contradict someone’s point then you can say, “I don’t want to offend someone but there are other good points too about this,” and deliver your thoughts. While speaking you don’t have to look at interviewer all the time, sit straight move your shoulder and head to see in all direction and try to have eye contact with all your GD members. This will increase your confidence and put a good impression on the panellists.

Your attire for an interview should be formals with a clean shave and a normal hair cut. If you don’t dress properly on the day of your interview then it builds a negative impression. Remember all small things get noticed over there. Keep your hands on your legs and sit straight, have a smile on face and be confident.

There can be a group of three interviewers who will inspect you in those factors which are already mentioned in the above paragraphs. The number of students can vary from 8-15 and time will be a lot according to the number of group members. You have to be seated in a normal position, don't place your hand on the table keep it on your lap, have patience, and be a creative thinker so you can give your best and get selected. In today’s scenario, hiring is different. Candidates are more and jobs are less so HR is taking GD as the first step so they can eliminate all those candidates who are not that good at communication without considering that how good are you in academics because if someone can’t put his viewpoint in front of others then how will they interact with other employees at office. So if you are lacking in any these, start preparing from now so at the time when you will have your GD you can give your best.
