ATMA colleges or ATMA participating institutes are the ones that accept the ATMA exam scores. ATMA exam is conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) for admission to postgraduate courses such as MBA and MCA. ATMA exam 2025 was conducted on July 27, 2025. ATMA exam scores are accepted in over 700 B-Schools in India. Each management institute releases its individual cutoff and conducts the counselling process. Candidates must get their scores validated by the colleges before the counselling process begins.

ATMA Selection Procedure 2025

ATMA selection procedure includes four stages, i.e. ATMA exam 2025, Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview. Students will be selected based on composite score of all four.

  • ATMA exam 2025: Candidates need to appear for the ATMA 2025 exam on scheduled date. ATMA exam is conducted in the CBT mode at different ATMA exam centres across country. Applicants can choose their preferred exam city while filling ATMA application form.

  • Group Discussion: Group Discussion or GD is conducted for the candidates who clear the ATMA exam and meet the cutoff. They will be called by various participating institutes after ATMA results have been announced. Candidates will have to talk on a particular topic and they will be judged on grounds such as negotiation skills, managerial skills, communication skills, leadership, personality, etc.

  • Written Ability Test (WAT): Candidates will be required to take a WAT and write a short essay on any topic allotted by panel of judges
  • Personal Interview (PI): Candidates will then have to appear for an interview before the expert panel. They will be assessed on general awareness, extracurricular activities, academics and candidate-specific field of interest, communication skills, overall personality, confidence, etc.

Yes, ATMA cut offs are different for different institutes. The ATMA cut offs are fixed by the institutes individually on the basis of several parameters. Thus, the candidates must visit their preferred institute website and check the ATMA cut off percentile required, before applying for admission. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their names in the merit lists released by the colleges accepting ATMA scores on the official websites of the institutes.

ATMA scores are accepted by over 700 management colleges in India. Students who appear for the ATMA exam can get admission to various top MBA, MCA PGDM and MS colleges in India. Each participating institute releases an ATMA cut off after the exam is conducted. Those who meet the ATMA cutoff will be called for further selection process which includes GD What and PI. The selection process is a 4 step process:

  • ATMA exam: Students need to appear for the ATMA exam on the scheduled date. The exam is conducted in the CBT Test mode at different exam centres across the country.
  • Group Discussion: Group Discussion or GD is conducted for the students who clear the ATMA exam and meet the ATMA cutoff. They will have to talk on a particular topic and they will be judged on different grounds.
  • Written Ability Test: Students will be required to take a WAT and write a short essay on any topic allotted by the panel of judges.
  • Personal Interview: Students will then have to appear for an interview before the expert panel after they clear all the previous selection rounds. They will be assessed on general awareness, extracurricular activities, academics, etc.
