For an incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are deducted from the candidates' total score. This means that for four incorrect answers, one mark is deducted from the total score. The raw score of candidates is scaled with reference to the total number of candidates appearing in the exam. For more insight on the marking scheme of the exam view the ATMA exam pattern 2024.

ATMA result 2024: Calculation of percentile

The validity of ATMA score is one year and students will be offered admission to colleges accepting ATMA scores through their ATMA result. Each institute releases their individual cutoffs. To gain admission, candidates need to match the cutoff criteria of their preferred institute. The ATMA exam has 180 questions and the total marks are 180. But, the raw scores are then scaled and the final marks are awarded out of 800. Knowing what is a good score in ATMA exam is subjective, however, the current trends suggest that the following will be considered a good score: Very good score- More than 700 Good score- 650-700 Average score- 620- 650 Low score- Below 550 Based on the scores obtained in the ATMA exam, the percentile of the candidates will be calculated.

Q:   Are ATMA cutoffs announced along with the ATMA result?

A:
ATMA cut offs are not announced along with the ATMA result. Individual participating institutes release their own cutoff and they are known after a few days of result announcement when the colleges start their shortlisting process. The ATMA scores and percentiles of the candidates shortlisted for Written Ability Test (What) and Personal Interview PI can be considered the cut off for the participating institute. ATMA cutoff is a major criteria for students to get admissions to their desired colleges. According to the previous years, the ATMA cutoff in the top institutes generally range from 75 percentile to 95 percentile. The ATMA cutoff varies from one institute to another.
