BET Pattern 2027: Know Marking Scheme & Exam Duration

The BET exam is conducted in the computer-based test mode. Each question will have multiple choice answers, and each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking and no marks will be awarded or deducted for unanswered questions. 

The BET syllabus is spread across three major sections, i.e. Verbal Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning and Inductive Reasoning. 

Verbal Reasoning section of the BET syllabus is about the English Language and the candidate's proficiency and hold on the language. It essentially covers topics of the English Language and Grammar. 

The Numerical Reasoning section of the BET syllabus covers all the topics of mathematics asked in management entrance exams. 

The Inductive Reasoning section of the BET exam tests the candidate's analytical abilities in a given scenario. It is largely logical and analytical reasoning

BET admit card will be emailed to candidates and also be available on website of Bocconi Asia Centre. To download BET admit cards, candidates can follow process mentioned below:

• Click on the BET 2026 admit card link on the homepage
• Enter Registration Number and Password and other required details
• Click 'Submit'
• BET admit card 2026 will appear on the screen and candidates can download by clicking on the download button
• Take a print out of the admit card

According to the students who have already appeared for the BET exam, certainly the actual Bocconi Test is way more difficult than the mock tests. Someone may get 23 out of 25 in mock tests and practice, can score as low as 30 out of 50 in the actual test. The questions on the actual test are way more difficult and if combined with stress, student may end up getting low scores. 

BET is conducted for MBA admissions at SDA Bocconi Asia Centre. BET is considered easy to moderate in terms of difficulty. 

The BET, Bocconi Entrance Test is considered easier than the GMAT or GRE. All three tests assess similar skills, i.e. Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Reasoning, Analytical Thinking. But the BET exam focuses on reasoning and management specific applications.

It has a shorter duration and does not include the advance level mathematics as in the case of GMAT or GRE. Additionally, the BET is known for having no negative marking, which reduces the pressure.

The Verbal Reasoning section the BET exam includes important topics such as Grammar, Vocabulary, Verbal Reasoning, Jumbled Paragraphs, Sentence Corrections, Idioms and Phrases, One Word Substitution, Antonyms, Synonyms, Analogies, Reading Comprehension, Contextual Usage, Para Jumbles, etc.

The BET exam's Inductive Reasoning section tests the candidate's analytical and logical ability. The important topics in this section include Blood Relations, Series, Coding and Decoding, Direction Sense, Syllogisms, Data Arrangement, Family Tree, BETs, Binary logic, Statements and Assumptions, Clocks and Calendars, Seating Arrangements, Puzzles, Data Structures, Venn Diagrams, etc. 

To apply for BET exam, students have to fill BET application form online. Read below for a guide on how to apply for BET exam 2027:

• Visit website of SDA Bocconi University
• Click on Apply Now button on My Application Portal
• Fill details such as name, nationality, date of birth, etc. 
• Now, fill details such as personal information, academic details, professional details, entrance test scores, etc.
• Finally, pay an application fee of 100 euros after filling out the application form.

The BET syllabus includes three major sections, i.e. Verbal Reasoning, Numeric Reasoning and Inductive Reasoning. The important topics of the BET syllabus are:

Verbal Reasoning- Reading Comprehension, Tenses, Parts of Speech, Grammar, Error Spotting, Sentence Completion, Syllogims, Idioms, One word substitution, etc. 

Numeric Reasoning- Number System, Algebra, Profit and Loss, HCF and LCM, Surds and Indices, Time Speed and Distance, Averages, Ratio and Proportions, Trigonometry, etc. 

Inductive Reasoning- Blood Relations, Statements and Conclusions, Propositions, Data Arrangements, Direction Sense, Puzzles, Coding and Decoding, Series, Data Structures, etc. 

A good score that supports the candidate's BET application for admissions is 35 points out of 50. In order to score 35, candidates will need to answer EVERY question on the test. They should not leave the answers blank. Students can use the process of elimination to answer the questions with speed and accuracy. 

The last date of submission of the application for Round 1 is November 30, 2026. The second round submission deadline is January 25, 2027. The round 3 submission deadline has not yet been shared.
