KIITEE Management Exam Pattern 2026: Check Section-wise Paper Pattern & Format of KIITEE MBA

No marks are deducted for skipping a question in KIITEE Management. There is negative marking for only incorrect attempts. For incorrect attempt, 1 mark is deducted. Thus, candidates must ensure they attempt a question only if they are sure of the answer. A large number of incorrect attempts will affect overall score more than a large number of unattempted questions.

Quantitative Aptitude section has 40 questions, Analytical Reasoning has 40 questions, English has 30 questions, General Knowledge has 20 questions and Issue of Social concern has 20 questions.

Marking scheme is same for all sections, i.e. three marks are awarded for correct attempt and one mark is deducted for incorrect attempt. Total marks of the exam are 450. Sectional weightage of each section marks wise is:

• Quantitative Aptitude: 120 marks
• Analytical Reasoning: 120 marks
• English: 90 marks
• General Knowledge: 60 marks
• Issue of Social Concern: 60 marks

Quantitative Aptitude and Analytical Reasoning have maximum weightage in KIITEE Management exam.

No, there is no sectional time limit in KIITEE MBA exam. Candidates can dedicate time to every section of the paper according to their preparation and strategy. However, they must time themselves appropriately so that they are able to solve a good number of questions in each section.

The difficulty level of KIITEE Management question paper is easy to moderate. Candidates can crack the exam with appropriate preparation of about three to four months. Those who have taken any national level test, can crack KIITEE MBA exam only by revision. The questions are asked from familiar topics, except in Issues of Social Concern. There are no subjective questions in KIITEE Management exam. There are only objective type questions. Every question is accompanied by 4 options to choose the correct answer. Candidates have to choose only one option to mark as their response.

There are a total of 20 questions in Issue of Social Concern section of KIITEE Management. Candidates can attempt as many questions they want to. Attempting all the questions is not mandatory. There is negative marking in KIITEE Management exam, so candidates must not do guess work. Attempt only those questions which they are sure of.

There are five sections in KIITEE Management question paper - Quantitative Aptitude, Analytical Reasoning, English, General Knowledge and Issue of Social Concern.

Quantitative Aptitude section of KIITEE MBA has 40 questions and 120 marks, Analytical Reasoning section has 40 questions and 120 marks, English section has 30 questions and 90 marks, General Knowledge and Issue of Social Concern sections have 20 questions and 60 marks each. Study materials of Quantitative Aptitude, Analytical Reasoning, English and General Knowledge are easily available so there are no challenges. Candidates must focus more on the fifth section - Issue of Social Concern - during preparation as not much study material is available for the same.

Yes, candidates can prepare for KIITEE Management exam with CAT books. Topics included in the syllabus of KIITEE Management exam are same as that of CAT exam - Quantitative Aptitude, Analytical Reasoning, English. However, for preparing General Knowledge and Issues of Social Concern sections, candidates will have to refer to subject specific study material. For GK, they can refer to Year Books and for Issues of Social Concern, they can refer to KIITEE Management sample papers.

KIITEE MBA is MCQ based test of 150 minutes. The question paper will have 150 questions. Three marks will be awarded for every correct attempt and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect attempt. 

The KIITEE MBA exam pattern is prescribed by KIIT School of Management admission cell. Since the exam is conducted for MBA admission, the test pattern is designed in a way to assess Business Aptitude, Reasoning Skills, English Communication and Quantitative Aptitude of candidates. The KIITEE MBA exam pattern is similar to other MBA entrance exams with a definite number of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be solved in a limited time period. In KIITEE MBA, 3 marks are added for each correct attempt and 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect attempt. There is no deduction of marks for unattempted questions. So candidates must choose questions carefully to avoid negative marking. 

The total time duration of KIITEE MBA exam is 150 minutes or 2.5 hours without break. Candidates have to complete the test in 150 minutes only. There is no sectional time limit in KIITEE MBA so candidates can make a strategy accordingly. They can allot more time to tougher subjects and finish the easy sections in less time. Extra time will be given only to PwD candidates. It is not mandatory to attempt all the questions so candidates can also determine the number of questions to solve and then allot the time accordingly.
