Q:   How many sections does the SRCC GBO question paper have?

The SRCC GBO question paper is divided into four sections, i.e., English Comprehension and Language Ability, Quantitative Ability, Logical Ability and Data Interpretation. All the sections carry multiple-choice questions and each question carries four marks. For each incorrect answer one mark will be deducted from the overall score. This means, that if the candidate has marked four answers wrong then four marks will be deducted from the overall score.  Given below is the number of questions in each section:

There is a total of 160 questions in the SRCC GBO question paper which are divided across these four sections. There are only multiple choice questions and no subjective questions. 

Q:   Are there any subjective type questions in the SRCC GBO exam?

No, there are no subjective-type or long form answer questions in the SRCC GBO exam. The SRCC GBO question paper only has 100 multiple-choice questions that are to be solved in two hours or 120 minutes. Candidates must attempt all the sections keeping in mind that the exam has negative marking. Candidates must note that each question in the SRCC GBO question paper will have four options. They will be required to choose the correct answer and select the radio button against the answer. If the candidate marks two options for a particular answer, then that answer will be considered incorrect. Each question in the SRCC GBO carries four marks and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. No marks are awarded or deducted for unattempted questions.

The overall difficulty of the SRCC GBO question paper is quite easy. However, the competition makes cracking the SRCC GBO exam a little tough. Check out the subject-wise preparation strategy for the SRCC GBO exam below.

Section 1: English Comprehension and Language Ability: This section of the SRCC GBO question paper is all about English Language and Grammar. To score well in this section, candidates must strengthen their vocabulary and grammar. Candidates should also aim at increasing their speed to ace this section, as this section has comprehension passages that are time-consuming. Prepare for topics such as Grammar, Para Jumbles, Reading Comprehension, Word Meanings, Phrases and Idioms, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms, etc. Candidates must also develop a habit of reading newspapers and magazines that will, in turn, improve their vocabulary.

Section 2: Quantitative Ability: To prepare for this section, candidates must brush up on their mathematics skills. They can take references from the NCERT mathematics books of Class 10 and Class 12. This section is about speed and accuracy. Topics such as Number System, Pie Chart, Time and Work, Profit and Loss, Basic Arithmetic, Interest, etc. make up this section. This section too, like the English Language section, is lengthy and time-consuming. Candidates must focus first on solving questions that they are hundred per cent sure of. Candidates must remember that the SRCC GBO exam has negative markings, hence marking wrong answers will only result in losing marks. The best way to prepare for this section is by solving mock tests and previous years’ question papers. Section 3: Logical Ability: Generally this section of the SRCC GBO question papers is the most difficult one. Practice topics such as Graphs, Clock and Calendars, Data Structures, Venn Diagrams, Tables, etc. to fetch good scores in this section. Some of the questions in the Data Interpretation section are difficult and consume a lot of time. Focus on improving the time taken to solve the questions and solving them accurately.
