Odisha NEET PG Counselling 2025 Round 1 seat allotment result has been released by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training, Odisha, on November 27, 2025. Along with the seat allotment result, the list of unoccupied seats has also been announced. The seat allotment letter will be released for download on November 28, 2025. The institute reporting process will be conducted from November 29 to November 30, 2025.

Based on the institute reporting status, an upgraded seat allotment result will be declared on December 1, 2025. The dates for the further rounds will be announced thereafter.

Q:   How many rounds take place in Odisha NEET PG counselling?

It is expected that four to five rounds of counselling will be held for seat allotment to Odisha PG medical admission. The number of rounds of Odisha NEET PG counselling 2025 will depend on the number of vacant seats after each round of counselling. Last year, an additional round of counselling was conducted due to the reduction of the NEET PG 2024 cutoff to five percentile for all categories.

Eligibility Criteria for Odisha PG 2025 Medical Admission

The criteria to be followed for participating in the Odisha NEET PG counselling are as follows:

  • Candidates should either be a permanent resident of Odisha, or have completed MBBS from a Government Medical College of the state
  • They should have a valid MBBS or BDS degree from a recognised medical college.
  • They should be registered under the State or Central Council of Medical Registration
  • Applicants should have secured the NEET PG cutoff marks
  • Applicants must have completed the mandatory one-year Internship within the stipulated date.

The NEET PG 2025 cutoff was released by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, the exam authority, along with the result. The table below brings the category-wise cutoff marks.

Odihsa NEET PG 2025 Counselling: The Process

Odisha NEET PG counselling process includes registration, submission of the application form, document verification, release of the merit list, and institute reporting or document verification. A total of four to five rounds of counselling will be held.

Candidates have to register on the official website, dmetodisha.gov.in and submit an application form for Odisha NEET PG counselling 2025. Those who qualified for NEET PG 2025 with the minimum cutoff percentile are eligible for the counselling process. After the registration process, documents are verified. The candidate has to attend the document verification session in virtual/physical mode and get his/her online application authenticated.

It must be noted that those who fail to attend document verification will not be included in the merit list. Candidates shortlisted in the merit list will be able to fill choices for college and course. Seats will be allotted based on NEET PG rank and filled choices.

Odihsa NEET PG 2025 Application Form

The Odisha NEET PG 2025 application form will be released online for counselling tentatively in the fourth week of September 2025, for the first round. Candidates will have to register and fill details in the application form for Odisha PG medical admission. The application form includes personal and academic details, NEET PG score and rank. Paying a fee is mandatory to submit an application for Odisha NEET PG Counselling. Candidates have to pay INR 2,500 non-refundable application fee for counselling. The application fee has to be paid in online mode through net banking, credit card or UPI. The payment receipt has to be submitted during document verification.

Odihsa NEET PG Counselling: Merit list

The Odisha PG NEET 2025 Counselling merit list will be released after the document verification process. Only those candidates are included in the merit list who apply successfully and fulfil the eligibility criteria. The merit list comprises details such as name, date of birth, category, NEET PG score and All India Rank. Only shortlisted candidates on the merit list are eligible to declare their choices for seat allotment.
