Aspiring students are required to register on the admission page of IGNOU’s official website and fill out the application form online. In the form, fill in all the details asked, upload the required documents, preview the data and pay the application fee.
To be eligible for the course, candidates must pass in Class 12 with Science subjects or its equivalent. The university follows a credit system for all its programmes including BSc. One credit equals 30 hours of learners' study time. To earn a UG degree, a learner has to earn 132 credits in a minimum of six semesters (three years) with 22 credits per semester.
In the field of Science, IGNOU offers a UG BSc programme across seven specialisations, a BSc (Hons) across two specialisations along a PB BSc Nursing course. All these courses have a minimum and maximum duration of three and six years, respectively.
IGNOU BA/BA (H) fee range from INR 15,000 to INR 15,900. The first year fee can also include registration fee of INR 300. Students opting for BA Psychology (H) are required to pay additional fee of INR 600, per year. The given fee information is as per the official website or sanctioning body. Students meet the merit requirements for the MBA programme. Appearing for IGNOU MBA is to qualify bachelors degree from the recognised university with 50% marks from the general category and 45% for the SC/ ST category.

Although, in the fee, a non-refundable registration fee of INR 200 (unless specified otherwise) shall be charged along with the programme fee for the first semester/ year at the time of admission.

IGNOU BA (Hons) English course fee is INR 15,900. It is the total fees for three-year UG course. The given fee is as per the official website or sanctioning body. It is still subject to revision and hence, is indicative.
IGNOU MBA (ODL/ Online) admissions are open. Candidates seeking admission must register and apply on or before the prescribed deadline. No, for admission to PB BSc nursing at IGNOU, students are required to apply and appear for a written test conducted by the university followed by a counselling session. Aspirants who meet the eligibility requirements need to appear for IGNOU OPENNET exam. Candidates get a seat in the course based on the exam score. The entrance test is conducted in offline mode via OMR sheets. Duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.
It is compulsory to carry IGNOU ID-Card when appearing for the exam. However, in case a students forgets to bring the same, he or she can show an identity proof like Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, etc. Most of the exam centres accept identity proof in such cases but to avoid any kind of conflict, students must carry their IGNOU ID-Card along with an identity proof and admit card.
IGNOU results for PhD admission are out on the official website of the institute. Candidates who have at least 50% aggregate in the entrance test (45% aggregate in case of SC/ ST/ OBC (Non Creamy layers)/ Differently abled persons) are shortlisted for the interview subject to the maximum limit of five times of the available seats. The entrance test carries a weightage of 70% and 30% weightage is allocated to the interview/ viva.
