IIIT Bangalore and upGrad Celebrate Nearly 4000 AI-Skilled Graduates

The International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B), a deemed university, recently celebrated one of its largest graduating cohorts of the year, with nearly 4,000 learners from India and around the world. The event recognized students who completed various online certifications and postgraduate programs in Data Science, Software Development, and Machine Learning & AI. Over 800 learners attended the ceremony in person at the campus, while an additional 3,000 joined via live stream from cities across India and internationally.

Dr. Vivek Raghavan, Co-Founder of Sarvam AI, honoured the ceremony as the chief guest. Other notable dignitaries included Ronnie Screwvala from upGrad, along with key leaders from the university such as Prof. Debabrata Das (Director), Prof. V. Sridhar (Faculty In-Charge, CPE), Retd. Commodore SR Sridhar, and Prof. Chandrashekar Ramanathan (Dean of Academics).

Q:   Is BTech available in IIIT Bangalore?
A:

The technology institute offers BTech with its integrated courses. The duration of the integrated course is five-year. On course completion, candidates are awarded both BTech and MTech degrees. For admission to this integrated course, the candidate must be a Class 12 pass from a recognised board. Admission to the courses is based on candidates’ JEE Main rank. The application process is further carried out via online mode.
