All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi hosted a workshop on Emerging Technologies highlighting the role of AI in revolutionizing healthcare. The intensive workshop on emerging technologies focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and aimed to equip medical students with skills and knowledge to leverage the transformative power of AI.

As per Professor Kanwal Preet Kochhar of AIIMS New Delhi, the workshop brought together like-mindedness in the field of AI and healthcare. The goal of AIIMS New Delhi is to empower students with required skills and knowledge for AI technologies effectively. The institute focuses primarily on tackling practical applications and real-world challenges that ultimately will prepare future healthcare leaders to improve outcomes.

Dr. Swadeep Srivastav, Founder & CBO of Healthpresso, highlights the potential of AI saying, "AI represents a paradigm shift in how we approach healthcare delivery. It offers us the ability to analyse vast datasets, uncover hidden patterns, and make informed decisions that enhance patient care. However, with this power comes responsibility. We must ensure that AI is deployed ethically and equitably, addressing biases and privacy concerns to truly benefit society. Healthpresso is dedicated to supporting this transition by providing resources and expertise to healthcare providers."

The workshop highlighted the need for specialised AI applications in healthcare for example the development of health GPT that offers tailored solutions leveraging healthcare-specific data.
