No, it is not compulsory to take the colour printout of NDA admit card to the exam centre. According to the official notice, candidates need to bring the printout of the admit along with the (original) Photo Identity Card, whose number is mentioned in the admit card. They need to bring the admit card in each session to secure admission to exam centre. Candidates need to preserve the admit card till the declaration of the final result as it is required for the SSB Interview.

Few exam day guidelines for NDA exam are given below: 
The entry gate closes 10 minutes before the exam begins

Mobile phones, calculators, or any other electronic devices are banned inside the exam centre

NDA admit card is required for SSB Interview. Candidates can download their admit cards for SSB interview after the declaration of the result. Candidates need to login into the website of Indian Army to select their SSB dates, time, venue, etc. After submitting these details, SSB interview call letter is generated. Candidates need to carry their interview call letters along with the required documents to the exam centre. Candidates need to qualify the SSB interview inorder to get selected for the National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy courses. •  Candidates need to register with the same email ID as provided while filling the online application form
• Candidates would then be allotted selection centres and admit cards through the website

Candidates qualified for SSB interview need to submit their original certificates of age and educational qualification either to Directorate General of Recruiting, Army HQ, West Block-III, RK Puram Delhi or to Naval Headquarters, DMPR, OI&R Section, C Wing, Sena Bhawan.
