NDA cutoff 2023: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will announce NDA 1 & 2 cut off 2023 along with the declaration of final result. The cutoff is the score that candidates need to get if they want to be eligible for the National Defence Academy training or course. Candidates need to secure NDA cut off 2023 separately in the written exam and SSB interview. As the minimum qualifying marks determine the chances of candidates' selection, it is important for candidates to go through NDA previous years' cut off trends. Having complete knowledge of the NDA cut off helps candidates strategise their preparation for the exam. What is the Cutoff for NDA?

NDA cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to secure to qualify the exam and become eligible for the next round of the selection process.

NDA Cutoff 2023

NDA cutoff for both sessions of the exam is released after the declaration of the final result. NDA cutoff is released separately for the written exam and final selection. The cutoff for the written exam is calculated out of 900 marks. The final selection cutoff is calculated based on the marks secured by the last recommended candidates out of 1800 marks (900 marks of written exam and 900 marks of SSB Interview). The qualifying NDA cutoff marks prescribed for each subject were 25 per cent. Candidates are required to qualify NDA exam by securing separate cutoff marks in the written exam and SSB Interview. On the basis of NDA cutoff, candidates are recommended for admission to Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of National Defence Academy and Naval Academy.

How is NDA Cut off Calculated?

NDA cut off is calculated based on the following factors:

  • Number of test-takers
  • Total vacancies
  • Exam difficulty

NDA Cut off for Written Exam

NDA cutoff for the written exam is decided out of 900 marks. UPSC also decides sectional for the written exam. The sectional cut off is calculated on the basis of the total marks of each section. The sectional cut off is 25 per cent in each subject.

NDA Cut off for Final Selection

NDA cut off for final selection is the marks secured by the last finally recommended candidates. The cut off for this stage is decided out of 1800 marks (900 marks of written exam + 900 marks of Interview.

Resolution of Ties for NDA Cutoff

Wherever two or more candidates have secured equal aggregate marks in NDA & NA exam, the ties are resolved in accordance with the following principles approved by the Commission:

  • In case of equal marks in aggregate, the candidate senior in age may be placed at higher rank and
  • In case of the candidates having same age and same aggregate marks, the candidate getting higher aggregate score in written papers may be placed at higher rank

Hi There, It depends upon you which subjects you like. You can join defense while studying B.A. Or B.Sc. You must continue your graduation because NDA PREPARATION can be done easily while doing Graduation. But in my opinion B.A. Will be better. Now coming to the part WHAT SHOULD YOU OPT FOR GRADUATION. It based on your future plans.
1. If you want to sit in UPSC CSE then you must opt B.A.
2. If you want to go in TEACHING LINE I. e. , Assistant professor or Lecturer, you can opt B.Sc. NOTE: Remove your phobia that NDA can't be joined while doing Graduation. Both NDA and GRADUATION can be done easily together. Hope it helps.

Now, according to UPSC your date of birth should not be earlier than July 2, 2004 and not later than July 1, 2007.
