The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CGL notification 2025 PDF on its official website - ssc.gov.in. The Commission released 14,582 vacancies for the exam. Along with the release of the official notification, the Commission also released the SSC CGL application form 2025. The Commission released the SSC CGL 2025 notification PDF to notify the vacancies, eligibility criteria, dates, syllabus, pattern and the rules that will govern the exam. 

The last date to apply online for the SSC CGL exam is July 4, 2025. The SSC CGL exam 2025 will be conducted from August 13 to 30, 2025. SSC CGL Tier 2 Syllabus 2025

SSC CGL Tier-II exam is also conducted as CBT online. The marks secured in the Tier-II exam plays a crucial role in the final selection. The SSC CGL 2025 Syllabus has been revised and modified to include General Awareness and Computer Awareness in the Tier 2 exam. Now onwards, there will be three papers in the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam. Q:   What is the SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Syllabus?

The Staff Selection Commission mentioned the SSC CGL 2023 syllabus in the official notification. The Commission mentioned the SSC CGL Tier 1 and Tier 2 syllabus separately. The Commission changed the SSC CGL Tier 2 syllabus and exam pattern in the last notification. The candidates should prepare all the topics mentioned in the official notification.

The Commission merged the SSC CGL Tier 3 and 4 in the Tier 2 exam. The Commission now include the Computer Skill test and the typing skill test in the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam. The candidates can see below the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam syllabus as mentioned in the official syllabus.

The Commission mention the SSC CGL syllabus in the official notification. 

The topics asked in SSC CGL Tier 2 exam include General Awareness, Computer Knowledge, and Maths. For General Awareness, the topics may include History, Geography, Science, Sports, and Awards. 

For Computer Knowledge, the topics may include Hardware, Software, Networking, and Internet. 

For Maths, the topics may include Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry.

Q:   What is the difference in syllabus of SSC CGL and CAT exam?

Hello, Thanks for asking. The main difference between SSC CGL & CAT is - SSC CGL is easier than CAT. CAT is famous for its unpredictability. In SSC CGL, you have to prepare for - Quantitative Aptitude, English, reasoning, GK, trigonometry, geometry, algebra. Preparation for SSC CGL will help you in preparing for basics required for CAT. Once your basics are strong, application of them should be learn for CAT. The 4 major sections of CAT Exam - Logical Reasoning Data Interpretation Quantitative Aptitude Verbal & Reading Comprehension.

Q:   Who releases the SSC CGL cutoff?
A: 
The Staff Selection Commission releases the SSC CGL cutoff. SSC is the exam conducting body for Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam. The Commission conducted the exam every year and releases the cutoff for each of the post groups separately. The Commission releases the SSC CGL cutoff for each category and stage separately. SSC is the exam conducting body and is responsible for all the official communication regarding the exam.
Q:   Who released the SSC CGL Marks and Scorecard?
A: 

Staff Selection Commission releases the SSC CGL Tier 1 and 2 Marks and Scorecard at its central website. The Commission releases the marks and scorecard online only. The SSC CGL Scorecard mention the raw marks and the normalised marks of the candidates.  It also mention the sectional marks of the candidates.

The SSC CGL result is prepared based on the Normalised marks only and raw marks are not considered for the result. The Commission notified the normalisation formula earlier in 2019 and uses the same formula for all of its online exams. After the normalisation marks of some candidates increase and decrease based on the difficulty level of the paper.

The SSC CGL notification mention the application dates and the application correction dates. The Commission will release the SSC CGL 2024 exam dates separately through a notice on its official website. The Commission released the SSC exam calendar in November 2023. As per the official exam calendar, the SSC CGL 2024 exam will be conducted in September/October 2024.

The SSC CGL 2024 notification was released online on June 24, 2024. The last date to apply for the SSC CGL 2024 exam is July 24, 2024.

Q:   How many vacancies were released in SSC CGL 2023 notification?
A: 
The Commission mentioned the 7,500 vacancies in the official SSC CGL 2023 notification. The Commission releases the SSC CGL vacancies separately under the SSC CGL post list pdf. The Commission releases the official notification online only. The SSC CGL 2023 notification was released on April 3. The last date to apply online was May 3. The Commission will conduct the SSC CGL 2023 exam from July 14 to 27 at the designated exam centres across the nation in online mode.
