UPSC CDS 2 Registration Ends Tomorrow
CDS 2 Registration Form 2025: The Union Public Service Commission will be closing the CDS 2 registration form tomorrow: June 17, 2025. The CDS 2 registration form can be filled out online at the new portal: upsconline.nic.in. To apply for CDS 2, candidates must first create an account and log in using their registered email and password, mobile number with OTP, Universal Registration Number (URN), and the Captcha code.
They must note that the CDS 2 old One Time Registration (OTR) system is no longer valid, therefore, they must freshly register for CDS 2 and upload documents on the new portal. The CDS 2 registration fee is INR 100, payable via Visa/Master/RuPay cards, UPI, or internet banking. Fee is waived for SC/ST, female candidates, and Wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs.
CDS 2025 Online Application: Check Pre-Requisites to Apply
Before applying online for the NDA 2 exam, candidates must meet the following prerequisites:
- Eligibility: Must be 16 to 19 years old and have passed or be appearing in Class 12.
- Application Details: Fill in the name, educational qualifications, address, and other required info accurately to avoid rejection.
- Documents to Upload:
- Scanned photo and signature
- Valid photo ID (Aadhar, Voter ID, PAN, Passport, DL, School ID, or Govt-issued ID) in PDF
- Class 10 & 12 marksheets and admit cards
How to Apply for CDS 2 Exam 2025?
Candidates should follow the updated CDS 2 registration process carefully. To complete the CDS 2 registration form, they must complete these steps:
Step 1: Visit the official UPSC Online Application Portal.
Step 2: Click “Account Creation” to register.
Step 3: Verify the email and mobile number via OTP.
Step 4: Log in using one of:

- Universal Registration Number (URN) + password
- Email ID + password
Step 5: Generate URN after logging in.
Step 6: Complete the CDS 2 Common Application Form (CAF).
Step 7: Select and apply for the CDS exam through the portal.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will released the CDS 1 2026 notification on December 10, 2025. The CDS 1 application form 2026 will be available from December 10 to December 30, 2025. The direct link will also be available here once it is released.
The Combined Defence Services (CDS) application form was released on the official website for CDS 2 on May 28, 2025. The last date to apply is June 20, 2025 (extended). The candidates can apply for the exam by following the steps given below:
- Go to the official website- upsconline.gov.in
- Login into the account on the OTR platform (The registration process for OTR has given above)
- Fill out the details that have been asked for part 2 registration
- Upload the photograph, signature and photo identity proof
- Make the application fees
- Choose the exam centre for the CDS 2 exam
- Finally, submit the application form
- The confirmation message will be sent to the registered mobile number and email id
