CDS Admit Card 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the CDS 2 admit card on August 10, 2023, which was accessible till September 3, 2023, for the candidates who have registered for the exam. The CDS exam was carried out on September 3, 2023.  Earlier, the UPSC CDS exam notification and the application form were released on May 17, 2023, for the CDS 2 exam.

CDS (Combined Defence Services) exam is a national-level exam to select candidates for the Indian Armed Forces. The candidates are trained in IMA, INA, AFA, and OTA. The selected candidates undergo rigorous training to be recruited as Lieutenant in Indian Armed Forces. 

CDS 2 Admit Card 2023

The admit card for the CDS 2 exam was released on the official website by the UPSC on August 10, 2023. UPSC CDS admit card 2023 is an important document without which candidates were not given entry to the exam hall. CDS admit card comprised details such as the candidate's name, roll number, date of birth, scanned photograph, signature, details regarding the exam centre, etc. The CDS exam was conducted by UPSC for the recruitment of Commissioned Officers in the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force.

a) Go to the official website

c) Login into the registered account

d) Click on the submit button

e) The CDS 2 admit card will appear on the screen

The CDS 2 admit card comprises details like name of the examination, conducting authority, candidate's name, father's name, mother's name, exam date, shift timing, date of birth, and more. The candidates are advised to check every details in the admit card carefully before downloading it. Q:   When the CDS 2 admit card was released?

How to Download CDS Admit Card 2023?

The steps to download the admit card of CDS are given below:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website-upsc.gov.in
  • Step 2: Go to the 'What's New Section and Click on the 'E-Admit Card CDS Exam 2023' link
  • Step 3: A new page will open with the download link
  • Step 4: Read all the instructions carefully before downloading the admit card
  • Step 5: After reading the instruction, click on the 'Yes' button to proceed towards downloading the admit card
  • Step 6: Enter the following details on the login page:
    • Registration Number and date of birth, Or
    • Roll Number and Date of Birth, Or
    • Name, Father’s Name, and Date of Birth
  • Step 7: After filling in the details, click on the ‘Submit’ tab

CDS Exam Pattern for IMA, INA, IFA

The candidates who are going to appear for the CDS exam for Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), and AFA (Air Force Academy) must know the exam pattern. The UPSC CDS exam pattern has been given below for the candidates:

  • The CDS exam for INA, IMA, and AFA is taken for three subjects - English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Maths 
  • The exam duration for each paper is  2 hours (120 minutes)
  • Each subject will have 100 MCQs 
  • The maximum mark in each subject is 100 marks 
  • The questions will be available in English and Hindi language 

CDS Exam Pattern for OTA

The OTA has a different exam pattern as compared to INA, IMA, and AFA. The exam pattern for CDS OTA has been given below for the candidates. The candidates must go through the exam pattern of UPSC CDS OTA to understand the exam better:

  • The OTA exam is taken for two subjects- English and General Ability Test 
  • The total time duration for the OTA exam is 4 hours (2 hours for each paper)
  • Total number of questions: 100 MCQs
  • Maximum marks in each subject are 100 marks 
  • The question will be available in English and Hindi
