Aligarh Muslim University, also known as AMU, is a public university, established in Aligarh, UP in 1920. AMU is UGC approved and is accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC. Aligarh Muslim University UP offers about 300 courses at UG, PG, PhD and diploma levels. For Aligarh Muslim University B.P.Ed admission, candidates must have passed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% and have at least participation in the InterCollege/Inter-Zonal / District / School competition in sports and games as recognised by the AIU/ IOA / SGFI / Govt. of India. Students with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with 45% marks or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied physical education as a compulsory elective subject are also eligible for AMU B.P.Ed admission.
AMU BA tuition fee ranges between INR 25,500 and INR 40,500. The exact amount depends on the choice of specialisation. The other components included in total AMU fees are hostel fees, medical insurance, mess and other security deposits, etc. It must be noted that the mentioned fee has been sourced from the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to change and hence, is indicative.
Aligarh Muslim University offers a three-year full-time BSc course at the undergraduate level. Apart from the BSc course, the University also offers BSc (Hons) courses. AMU Admission Process and Important Dates 2026
The mode of Aligarh Muslim University course admissions is online. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance scores. The accepted entrance exams are the AMU Entrance Exam, CUET, and others. Candidates willing to get admission must first visit the Aligarh Muslim University official website, which is www.amu.ac.in/. AMU MBBS cutoff 2025 was released for admission via the NEET entrance exam for various categories under the All India category.
For the General AI quota, candidates need to secure a rank of at least 12762 or lower to be eligible for admission. On the other hand, for the PWD AI category, the cutoff in the last round was 401069. Hence, students need to secure at least 401069 or lower if they belong to the PWD All India category.
Aligarh Muslim University offers a full-time MBBS course at the postgraduate level for a duration of four and a half years along with a 1-year compulsory rotatory internship. The Faculty of Law, AMU is located in Uttar Pradesh India. It offers courses like BA LLB (Bachelor's in Arts with Bachelors in Law) and LLM Programme (Master of Laws). The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) conducts its own engineering entrance exam called the AMUEEE (Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Exam) for admission into its BTech programme. As per the official information brochure, there is no limit to the number of attempts for the AMUEEE exam. Candidates can appear for the exam as many times as they wish to improve their score and chances of admission. Aligarh Muslim University BA admission is a multi-step process. It starts with online application. For this, candidates can visit the university's admission portal on its official website. AMU CUET Counselling registration process is carried out in online mode. Only the students shortlisted or selected are eligible to register for counselling. Eligible students can visit the AMU official website (amucontrollerexams.com or counselling.amuonline.ac.in) to apply with CUET rank for the desired programme. During registration, a login ID and password is generated for further procedure. The registration fee for the same is made available on the official website.
During AMUEEE registration, candidates will have to pay the fee through net banking/credit card/debit card. The AMUEEE application fee is INR 1050. Offline payments will not be accepted. The late fee is INR 1350.
