To fulfil TSEdCET 2026 eligibility criteria, candidates should meet the requirements:

1. Nationality & Local Status: You must be an Indian citizen. You must meet the local or non-local status rules as per the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974.

2. Age Limit: Students must be at least 19 years old. There is no upper age limit to apply.

3. Educational QualificationGeneral Category: You need at least 50% marks in your graduation (BA, BSc, BCom, BE, BTech, BSc Home Science, or a 5-year integrated course) in a subject relevant to the course you’re applying for.

  • SC/ST/BC (A/B/C/D/E)/PH Category: You need at least 40% marks in your qualifying degree.
  • BE/B.Tech. Candidates: Must have studied Science or Mathematics and scored at least 55% marks.
  • Not Eligible: Candidates with degrees like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BL, LLB, BA (Languages), BOL, or other professional courses.

TSEdCET Result Tie-breaking Process

If two or more candidates get same total marks, Subject/Content marks will be considered to determine their ranking. If tie remains, marks of Teaching Aptitude will be used. If there is still a tie, marks in General English will be considered. If tie continues, marks in General Knowledge & Educational Issues will be taken into account. If tie persists even after that, marks in Computer Awareness will be used to decide the ranking.

If candidates obtain equal marks in all parts of the test paper, they will be placed in same rank bracket. During admission, age will be considered to determine final ranking among such candidates, with preference given to older candidates.

Note: Requests for re-totaling or revaluation or personal verification of scripts will not be entertained.
