All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has revised its schedule of events to conduct the AIIMS Nursing 2020 entrance exam. The national level exam is conducted every year to facilitate admission in to various Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programmes such as BSc (Hons) Nursing, BSc Nursing (Post-Basic) and MSc Nursing courses. The AIIMS has also announced that in order to maintain the prevention guidelines against the spread of COVID-19 they will increase the number of exam cities and centres this year.
AIIMS Nursing 2020 registration has started on December 12, 2019 and the last date to apply was January 16, 2020 which was later extended till January 31, 2020 till 5:00 PM. The application process for AIIMS Nursing 2020 is a long process and has many events involved. The process begins with the commencement of the Basic Registration which started on December 12, 2019 and lasted till January 31, 2020 as mentioned above. All the aspiring candidates have to first register themselves via the Basic Registration process in the stipulated timeline, no candidate is allowed to skip this step.
After successfully completing the Basic Registration process, candidates whose basic registration is approved by the AIIMS will be able to generate a code for the Final Registration, which is the next stage of the AIIMS Nursing 2020 application process. The AIIMS makes sure that each registration application is complete and has no deficiency. AIIMS provide multiple correction window by reviewing every registration request and publishes a list of Final Status of every AIIMS Nursing 2020 application (accepted) and Rejected application with reason for rejection. AIIMS Nursing 2020 Application Form Process
AIIMS Nursing 2020 registration cum application process is a two-stage process. It is mandatory that candidates complete all the formalities for both the stages, if any candidate fails in providing any mandatory detail in either of the stage the candidates’ application will be subjected to rejection.
AIIMS Nursing 2020 (BSc) Application form filling process uses the newly introduced Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) system. AIIMS Nursing 2020 application form process has the following two stages:
Stage 1: Basic Registration
Stage 2: Final Registration
Stage 1: Basic Registration
Basic registration is the first stage of the AIIMS Nursing 2020 Registration process the candidates are required to complete. In this stage the candidates have to provide their personal details such as name, date of birth, email id (for communication purpose), mobile number (to share information and code via SMS). Candidates have to upload their scanned passport-size photograph and scanned image of the signature and thumb impression in this stage. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will share a registration ID and a password with the candidate after the successful completion of the Basic registration process. The credentials will be shared via email. The shared registration ID and password should be kept safely by the candidates for future reference.
Stage 2: Final Registration
Candidates whose basic registration request has been accepted and have received the registration ID and password can proceed for the Final Registration process. No candidate can proceed for the final registration process without generating the code and payment. After generating the code for final registration candidates have to choose the choice of exam city and pay the registration fee. Candidates have to provide their academic details in the final registration stage.
AIIMS Nursing 2020 (BSc) application fee can be paid via online mode using Debit/Credit card or Net banking.

Candidates don’t have to pay any fee for the Basic Registration process. The final registration stage requires the candidate to pay a sum of non-refundable and non-transferable fee. Below is the category wise AIIMS Nursing 2020 registration fee:

Information Needed while Filling the AIIMS BSc Nursing 2020 Application Form
The AIIMS Nursing 2020 registration process requires a set of documents and details which candidates should keep ready beforehand for the successful completion of the basic registration process. Below is the list of details and documents required to be filled in the AIIMS Nursing 2020 Registration form.
- Valid Email ID and active Mobile number
- Personal Details such as name, father’s name etc
- Valid Photo ID (Aadhar card/ Driving Licence/ Voter Id/ Passport, etc)
- Scanned/digital image of recent passport size, color photograph with white background
- Scanned Image of Signature of the candidate
- Scanned Image of Left Thumb Impression of the candidate
- Class 12 and Class 10 (Board Exams) Mark-sheet/Admit Card (If applicable)
- Category Certificate (If applicable)
- PWBD (Persons With Benchmark Disability) Certificate (If applicable).

Instructions for the Images
AIIMS has already announced some instructions regarding the images which need to be uploaded. The images should be in line with guidelines prescribed by the AIIMS.
For Prescribed Photograph
- Photograph should have a white background without a border and clearly shows face, eyes and ears of the candidate
- Eyes and both ears of the candidate should be clearly visible in the photograph
- The photograph should not be older than six months
For Prescribed Signature
- Thick blue/ball pen only should be used for the signature
- The signature must be done on a white plain sheet
For Prescribed thumb impression
- Only left thumb impression is valid. Only blue/black ink pad should be used for the thumb impression.
- The thumb impression should be clear, without any smudge
How to Fill AIIMS Nursing 2020 Application Form?
As mentioned previously that the AIIMS Nursing 2020 Registration process is divided in to two stages, Basic Registration and Final Registration.
Basic Registration
Step 1: Candidates have to visit the official website of AIIMS, www.aiimsexams.org/
Step 2: On the right-hand side of the homepage screen in the ‘Important Announcement’ section candidates have to click on the ‘AIIMS Nursing 2020 Entrance Exam Registration’ link
Step 3: The candidate will be redirected to the ‘New Basic Registration Zone’ window. Candidates have to click on ‘Click here for Basic Registration’ button. Candidates have to provide all the personal details such as name, contact details, address.
Step 4: After providing all the details, click on the ‘register’ button at the bottom of the screen
Step 5: After the successful submission of the details the candidates will receive the Registration ID and Password is sent to their email ID and mobile number. Candidates have login using the shared credentials and complete the further basic registration process.
Step 6: After logging in, the candidates have to upload their passport size, color photograph, scanned image of signature and left thumb impression.
Step 7: After successfully uploading the images as per the requirements, candidates can submit the AIIMS Nursing 2020 registration form and take a print out of it for future reference. This will conclude the Basic Registration process.
Candidates whose Basic Registration is accepted by the AIIM can proceed to complete the Final Registration. AIIMS will also publish the Status update (Accepted & Not Accepted) of Basic Registration mentioning the deficiencies in the registration form on their official website. Also, the candidates can edit the deficiencies during the Correction of deficiencies window in Basic Registration which will be provided by the AIIMS.
Final Registration
Step 1: Candidates required to log in using their registration ID, registration unique code and password, shared with them via email.
Step 2: Candidates are required to fill the form with all the details such as qualification, education, marks secured after logging in. After furnishing all the academic details, candidates have to choose the exam centre of their choice.
Step 3: After successfully providing the academic details and selecting the choice of exam city candidates have to make the application fee payment online using debit card, credit card or net banking.
Step 4: After the submission of the application fee payment a confirmation page will be generated which can be downloaded in the PDF format. Candidates can take a printout of the confirmation page for future use.
