The Bihar Police Constable notification 2025 was released by the Bihar Police Department on March 11 for 19,838 vacancies. It was started on March 18 and the last date to apply was extended from April 18 to April 25. General candidates age must not be below 18 years and not more than 25 years. The Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC) provided the age relaxations to several reserved category candidates. Eligibility Criteria

Nationality
The CSBC conducted the Bihar Police Constable 2025 exam from July 16 to August 3 at various designated centres of the Bihar state.
The CSBC prescribed minimum age as 18 years and maximum age as 25 years for the general category candidates to apply for the Bihar Police Constable exam 2025. The age relaxation is also prescribed by the authority. Candidates can also check Bihar Police Constable 2025 eligibility criteria.
They should meet the nationality requirements to appear for the examination, as mentioned in the official notification. Candidates who are Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the Constable examination.
Age Limit & Relaxation
It is to be noted that candidates whose age is within the prescribed age limit are only allowed to appear for the Constable exam. The CSBC prescribed a minimum age limit of 18 years for all the categories. Whereas the maximum age limit for the constable post varies for reserved and general categories. The maximum age limit for general category candidates is 25 years.
For Non-Home Guard
As per 10th/SSC/Matriculation/Equivalent Certificate, the minimum age of the candidate should be as on 1st August 2025 and maximum age as on 1st August 2023 as per the following table. Also, check the age relaxation provided by the CSBC to reserved category candidates.
The minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to score to qualify for the written exam for the Bihar Police Constable is 30%. After qualifying it, the candidates will be eligible for the PET/PST round.

Note: Candidates who are not residents of Bihar State will choose General Category. On the other hand, transgender residents of Bihar State will choose BC Category.

Check Educational Qualification
Candidates who are interested in applying for the Constable exam can read below regarding the education qualification prescribed by the authority. According to the CSBC, education qualifications are provided below:
As per the official notification,
- Candidates must have passed at least the Intermediate (10+2) examination from any recognized board.
 - Candidates from the Sanskrit Board of Bihar must have passed the minimum Acharya (without English) certificate or Shastri (with English) certificate.
 - Candidates from the Madarsa Board of Bihar should have passed the Maulvi certificate.
 - Further, the candidates having a degree of Graduation or above are also eligible to apply for the Constable post.

Physical Standard Test (PST)
Candidates also need to undergo a Physical Standard Test, which consists of measurements for height, chest, and weight. The PST is qualifying in nature. It is crucial for the candidates to pass these standards so that they will be called for the next stage. If candidates do not meet these requirements, then they will not be considered for the next stage.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
As per the official notification, for male candidates for all the categories, the physical test consists of running 1.6 km, which must be completed within 6 minutes, and a minimum jump height of 4 feet. Further, for female candidates, the running is 1 km, which is to be completed within 5 minutes, and a minimum jump height of 3 feet. Candidates need to clear the efficiency test to be eligible for the Bihar Police Constable.
