Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has conducted RBI Grade B Phase I exam on November 9, 2019. The question paper carried 200 questions which candidates had to answer within 20 minutes. The paper was divided into four sections- General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. According to the candidates who had appeared in the exam, the overall exam difficulty level was moderate. This year, separate time has been allotted for each section.

Few media also reported that RBI Grade B exam has been postponed due to the Ayodhaya verdict. However, there is no official confirmation from RBI regarding the same.

RBI Grade B 2019 Exam Analysis – Overall Difficulty Level

All questions except English Language were available bilingually (that is English and Hindi). Each question had 5 options. Each question had 5 options and 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer while 0.25 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Check the overall difficulty level of exam:

RBI Grade B 2019 Exam Analysis – Section-wise

General Awareness

General Awareness section carried 80 questions. Total marks allotted to this section was 80. Questions were asked from the current affairs (both national and international). Around 10 to 12 questions were asked from static GK and banking awareness. There were questions from sports, business, science and technology, and books and authors. Overall, the difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.

English Language

This section comprised 12 questions from Reading Comprehension (RC). There were also two RC passages which had 6 questions. One RC was based on Financial Services and the second RC was based on extinction of bees. The length of the passages were 600 words. Questions were asked from Spot the Error, Idioms and Phrases, Jumbled Sentences and Cloze Test. The difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.
