SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2025: Vacancy, Eligibility, Process & Result

The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC Stenographer notification June 6, 2025 on its Central portal - ssc.gov.in. The Commission  notified all the details about the SSC Stenographer exam in the notification. The candidates should note that the applications were also started with the release of notification. The last date for the SSC Stenographer application form was June 26, 2025.

SSC Stenographer vacancies are released along with the notification. First, the tentative SSC Stenographer vacancies are released. The final vacancies are released after the completion of the SSC Stenographer recruitment process.

The Computer-Based Test according to the SSC Stenographer exam pattern comprises three sections. The total marks for the test are 200. The test will consist of 200 objective type multiple-choice questions. Candidates will be given two hours to solve the paper. The minimum qualifying marks for UR are 30 per cent, 25 per cent OBC/EWS, and 20 per cent. In skill, test candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi. Candidates need to type the dictation at the speed of 100 words per minute for the post of Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m for Stenographer D post.

The Staff Selection Commission will notify the syllabus for the exam in its notification. The SSC Stenographer syllabus for General Intelligence & Reasoning has the topics of both verbal and non-verbal type. The General Awareness section tests a candidate’s knowledge of current affairs. The English Language and Comprehension tests a candidate’s understanding of grammar and vocabulary.
