IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria

The IBPS PO online applications started on July 1, 2025 and closed on July 21, 2025. The application fee payment dates were July 1 to July 21, 2025. Candidates required to fill out the IBPS PO application form 2025 on the official website - ibps.in. The application fee was INR 850 for the General and OBC category and INR 175 for SC/ST/PWBD candidates. The steps to fill the application form online can be seen below:

• Click the link ‘IBPS PO Apply Online’
• To register, click the link ‘New Registration’
• Enter the basic details to register
• The registration number and password are generated
• Upload signature, photograph, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration
• Proceed to fill the detailed application form
• Submit the application form
• Pay the application fees in the online mode

This year, the exam pattern is revised. The exam pattern of IBPS PO is divided into preliminary exam, mains exam, and interview. The exam pattern for each stage is given below:

Prelims exam: The test comprises three sections, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. There are a total of 100 questions. The total marks for the test are 100. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes.

Mains exam: The mains exam comprises both objective and descriptive tests. The objective test comprises questions from Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. The Descriptive Test comprises English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). There are a total of 147 questions (Objective 145 + 2 Descriptive). The total marks allotted for the test are 225. The duration of the exam is 160 minutes.

Interview: The interview is conducted for 100 marks. The test is conducted to assess the personality of candidates.

What is IBPS PO Marking Scheme?

The marking scheme of IBPS PO is decided by the examination authority. As per the marking scheme, one mark is awarded for correct answers. For wrong answers, 0.25 marks are deducted. The total marks of IBPS PO are calculated based on the correct and incorrect answers.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has revised the IBPS PO 2025 salary and the gross salary reached upto INR 90,732.77. The basic salary of IBPS PO is INR 48,480. Apart from the IBPS PO salary, candidates are also entitled to various allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), and Special Allowances.
