Q:   What is the application fee for IBPS PO 2025?

As per the official notification released, the IBPS PO 2025 application fee is INR 850 for General/OBC candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/ PwBD candidates inclusive of GST. Also, the IBPS PO 2025 application fee payment dates are July 1 to July 21, 2025. - Rs.

IBPS PO educational qualification is a Degree/Graduation in any discipline from a university recognised by the government. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Candidates must possess valid marksheet/degree Certificate that they are graduate on the day they register and indicates the percentage of marks obtained in graduation while registration online. IBPS PO exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection to select eligible candidates for the post of Probationary Officers in different public sector banks in India. IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2025

This year, the exam pattern is revised. The exam pattern of IBPS PO is divided into preliminary exam, mains exam, and interview. The exam pattern for each stage is given below:

Prelims exam: The test comprises three sections, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. There are a total of 100 questions. The total marks for the test are 100. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes.

Mains exam: The mains exam comprises both objective and descriptive tests. The objective test comprises questions from Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. The Descriptive Test comprises English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). There are a total of 147 questions (Objective 145 + 2 Descriptive). The total marks allotted for the test are 225. The duration of the exam is 160 minutes.

Interview: The interview is conducted for 100 marks. The test is conducted to assess the personality of candidates.

What is IBPS PO Marking Scheme?

The marking scheme of IBPS PO is decided by the examination authority. As per the marking scheme, one mark is awarded for correct answers. For wrong answers, 0.25 marks are deducted. The total marks of IBPS PO are calculated based on the correct and incorrect answers.

The IBPS PO 2025 Prelims exam pattern has been revised. The overall marks and the negative marking remain the same, but internally changes have been made in the prelims exam pattern. The marking scheme has been changed. Also, the marks for the Quantitative Aptitude have been reduced to 30 from 35, and on the other hand, the marks for the Reasoning section have been increased by 5, that is, from 35 to 40. Candidates can check below the IBPS PO 2025 Mains the latest exam pattern:

  • In the Mains exam, 4 sections will be there namely Reasoning Ability, English Language and Data Analysis & Interpretation and General Awareness.
  • The total time for IBPS PO 2025 Mains Objective Exam is 160 minutes and 30 minutes additional for descriptive test. Therefore, the total duration of the Mains exam is 190 minutes or 3 hours and 10 minutes. 
  • A penalty of 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer in the objective test.
  • In the Mains exam now, 145 objective questions will be asked for 200 marks and an additional Descriptive Paper worth 25 marks will be asked, making the total 225 marks.
  • Each section is separately timed which is demanding better time management from the candidates.

IBPS PO selection process comprises prelims, mains and interview. All the registered candidates need to appear for the prelims. The exam pattern of prelims comprises three sections.
