As per the official notification released, the IBPS PO 2025 application fee is INR 850 for General/OBC candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/ PwBD candidates inclusive of GST. Also, the IBPS PO 2025 application fee payment dates are July 1 to July 21, 2025. - Rs.

• INR 175/- (inclusive of GST) for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
• INR 850 /- (inclusive of GST) for all others.

It is to be noted that Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/ intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate.

The Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection released the IBPS PO 2025 Notification on the official website on June 30, 2025. The IBPS PO 2025 Prelims exam will be conducted on August 17, 23 and 24, 2025. The IBPS PO 2025 Main exam will be conducted in October 2025.

IBPS PO is conducted annually by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) to select candidates for the post of Probationary Officers. The selection process of IBPS PO comprises prelims exam, Mains exam and interview. The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 100. The Mains exam comprises both objective and descriptive-type questions. The total marks allotted to the Mains exam are 250. The interview carries a total of 100 marks. The final selection of candidates is done based on the Mains exam and interview.

The Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection (IBPS) released its official revised exam calendar on June 16, 2025. As per the official exam calendar, the IBPS PO Prelims Exam 2025 will be conducted on August 17, 23 and 24, 2025. The IBPS PO Main exam will be conducted on October 12, 2025.

 

IBPS PO educational qualification is a Degree/Graduation in any discipline from a university recognised by the government. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Candidates must possess valid marksheet/degree Certificate that they are graduate on the day they register and indicates the percentage of marks obtained in graduation while registration online. All educational mentioned by the examination authority should be from a university/institution/board recognised by government. Of India/approved by government/approved by government  on or before July 21, 2025.  Proper document from Board / University for having declared the result on or before
July 21, 2025 has to be submitted at the time of interview. Candidates who are in the final year of graduation are not eligible to apply for the exam. At the time of interview, candidates are required to submit the educational qualification certificates.

IBPS PO exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection to select eligible candidates for the post of Probationary Officers in different public sector banks in India. Applicants filling the application form of IBPS PO need to upload the handwritten declaration. IBPS PO handwritten declaration needs to be uploaded before the final submission of application form. The handwritten declaration needs to be uploaded as per the format prescribed by IBPS. The file size of the handwritten declaration should be between 50 kb to 100 kb. The handwritten declaration should be written in English only in Capital Letters. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.

Applicants can take print of the IBPS PO application form after the Mains exam. The link to reprint the application form is made available on the official website. To reprint the application form, candidates need to enter registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. Candidates need to show the printout of their application forms during interview. The link to take the printout of the application form will remain active within specified time frame. Candidates should keep the printout of the application form till the completion of the selection process. Candidates need to fill IBPS PO application form online. The application form comprises several stages which candidates need to complete successfully.

If a candidate enters a wrong percentage in the IBPS PO application form, it may lead to disqualification from the recruitment process. It is important for candidates to ensure that all information provided in the application form is accurate and true to the best of their knowledge. If a candidate is found to have provided false information, they may be barred from future recruitment processes. It is also important to note that even if the percentage entered satisfies the eligibility criteria, it is still considered as an error and may result in disqualification. It is always best to double-check all information before submitting the application form.

The IBPS PO 2025 Prelims exam pattern has been revised. The overall marks and the negative marking remain the same, but internally changes have been made in the prelims exam pattern. The marking scheme has been changed. Also, the marks for the Quantitative Aptitude have been reduced to 30 from 35, and on the other hand, the marks for the Reasoning section have been increased by 5, that is, from 35 to 40. However, the number of questions remains the same.

• In the Mains exam, 4 sections will be there namely Reasoning Ability, English Language and Data Analysis & Interpretation and General Awareness.
• The total time for IBPS PO 2025 Mains Objective Exam is 160 minutes and 30 minutes additional for descriptive test. Therefore, the total duration of the Mains exam is 190 minutes or 3 hours and 10 minutes. 
• A penalty of 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer in the objective test.
• In the Mains exam now, 145 objective questions will be asked for 200 marks and an additional Descriptive Paper worth 25 marks will be asked, making the total 225 marks.
• Each section is separately timed which is demanding better time management from the candidates.

IBPS PO full form stands for the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Probationary Officers. After clearing the online tests of IBPS PO exam, candidates are called to participate in a Personal Interview with a panel of experts. This interview assess the overall suitability for the position of probationary officer, and include questions about their qualifications, work experience, and personal characteristics. After the Personal Interview a merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the Mains exam and interview.
