IBPS PO Notification 2024: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will release IBPS PO 2023 notification in August 2024. The short notification will be released in July. The duration to attempt Data Interpretation and Analysis section and Reasoning and Computer Aptitude section, candidates get 45 minutes and 60 minutes respectively. The time duration allotted for General Awareness section is 35 minutes. To solve the descriptive paper, candidates get 30 minutes. The exam pattern of IBPS PO is divided into preliminary exam, mains exam, and interview. The exam pattern for each stage is given below:

Prelims exam: The test comprises three sections, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. There are a total of 100 questions. The total marks for the test are 100. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes.

Mains exam: The mains exam comprises both objective and descriptive tests. The objective test comprises questions from Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. The Descriptive Test comprises English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). There are a total of 157 questions (Objective 155 + 2 Descriptive). The total marks allotted for the test are 225. The duration of the exam is 3 hours 30 minutes.

Interview: The interview is conducted for 100 marks. The test is conducted to assess the personality of candidates.

What is IBPS PO Marking Scheme?

The marking scheme of IBPS PO is decided by the examination authority. As per the marking scheme, one mark is awarded for correct answers. For wrong answers, 0.25 marks are deducted. The total marks of IBPS PO are calculated based on the correct and incorrect answers.

A:
After clearing the online tests of IBPS PO exam, candidates are called to participate in a Personal Interview with a panel of experts. This interview assess the overall suitability for the position of probationary officer, and include questions about their qualifications, work experience, and personal characteristics. After the Personal Interview a merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the Mains exam and interview. Candidates who are placed in the merit list are eligible for appointment as a probationary officer in the participating banks. Candidates should note the letter of appointment is issued by the participating banks. Allotment of candidates is done based on merit-cum-preference.

IBPS PO exam pattern highlights the overall structure of the exam such as marking scheme, total marks, time duration, etc. IBPS PO exam pattern is such that it is divided into prelims exam, Mainsexam and interview. IBPS PO prelims exam comprises three sections-Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, and English Language. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. The duration of the test is 60 minutes.
