IES 2020 main exam result declared on December 11. The roll numbers of the qualified candidates were mentioned in the Engineering Services 2020 main exam result PDF. Qualified candidates are required to fill the IES interview Detailed Application Form (DAF). The DAF will be available from December 24 at the official site of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The IES exam is conducted every year by UPSC to recruit the candidates for the technical positions in various Central Government departments including Railways.

IES main 2020 result pdf was released online and the candidates can search their roll number in the IES result pdf. The candidates can check their IES 2020 result by following the steps given below.

Step 1: Go to the official website of UPSC-upsc.gov.in

Step 2: Go to the ‘What’s new’ section on the right-hand side navigation

Step 3: Click on the Engineering Services Main 2020 Result link

Step 4: The UPSC IES 2020 result PDF will appear on the screen

Step 5: Search the desired IES roll number

Step 6: Download the IES Main 2020 result PDF for future reference

The qualified candidates are required to fill the UPSC IES 2020 interview DAF till January 5. The candidates must fill and submit the IES 2020 DAF within the stipulated time or else their candidature will be cancelled

The last date to apply for the UPSC ESE 2026 exam was October 16, 2025 (6:00 PM). It was started on September 26, 2025.

Yes the examination centre lis was released for the UPSC ESE 2026 in the official notification. Therefore, candidates can go through the official notification for the list of exam centres. It is also provided on our Shiksha page.

No. A candidate can not change the examination centre. There is no such provision. Therefore, it is recommended to choose carefully the exam centre. Also, check the official notification for the same.

Yes. In the UPSC IES prelims exam, there is a negative marking of 1/3 for each incorrect answer.

In the UPSC ESE/IES Mains exam, descriptive and subjective questions are asked. The exam consists of two papers from specific engineering stream. Maximum marks of each paper is 300 and the duration of each paper is three hours.
