The Union Public Service Commission mentioned 232 vacancies in the official notification. The Commission did not release the service -wise vacancies in the IES 2025 exam. The candidates can see below the number of posts notified this year for the exam:

IES 2024 Vacancies

The candidates should note that there were 167 vacancies notified in the official notification but these numbers are tentative only and the Commission release the final number of vacancies in the official final result only.

IES 2023 Vacancies

The number of vacancies notified in the exam notification is 327. It is highest in recent years. Union Public Service Commission did not release the post-wise vacancies. However, the details of the posts are released as follows.

IES 2022 Vacancies

There were 247 vacancies in the IES exam 2022. IES vacancies were advertised by UPSC in the official notification. The stream-wise vacancies were not mentioned in the notification. It will be mentioned in the result notice. Candidates can see from the trend that the number of vacancies increased during the exam process and the number final result will release the actual number of vacancies. The category-wise reservation will also be applicable to these vacancies. The specific detail as given in the official notification is as follows.

Seven vacancies will be reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities(PwBD)  (03 vacancies for Locomotor Disability including Leprosy cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack victims and Muscular Dystrophy & 04 vacancies for Hard of Hearing). The number of vacancies is liable to alteration.
