UPSC ESE/IES Result 2026: The Union Public Service Commission will release the IES prelims result 2026 on the official website at upsc.gov.in. The UPSC IES 2026 prelims exam will be conducted on February 8, 2026. The result will be released in the form of PDF comprising the roll numbers with the name of all the qualified candidates. The IES prelims exam will be conducted offline as a multiple choice questions. The IES Mains exam will be conducted on June 21, 2026. The Commission will separately announce the interview date. Candidates can also check the UPSC IES marks for all the shortlisted candidates after the declaration of the final results. The Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination will consist of two objective type (multiple choices) questions papers and carrying a maximum of 500 marks.
Paper I: 200 Marks
Paper II: 300 Marks.
Each correct answer is awarded two marks. One-third marks deducted for each wrong answers.
Only those candidates who are declared by the Commission to have qualified in the Preliminary Examination in the year will be eligible for admission to the Mains Examination. The Marks obtained in Preliminary Examination by the candidates who are declared qualified for admission to the Main Examination will be counted for determining their final order of merit.
As per the announced date, UPSC ESE 2026 Mains exam will be conducted on June 21, 2026 in two shifts.

IES 2023 Result
UPSC ESE (IES) 2023 results were released online on November 22, 2023. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the names and the roll number of the candidates in the result pdf. The UPSC ESE result 2023 recommended 401 candidates against the 486 vacancies notified in the official result notice. The Commission mentioned the number of candidates selected under each category for all the streams. The Commission is expected to release the IES 2023 Cutoff soon on its website. The UPSC also maintained an IES 2023 reserve list of 164 candidates. These candidates can be called in case of additional requisition by the concerned Ministry/Department.

IES 2022 Result
The Commission released the IES result 2022 online mentioning the names of the Toppers of the exam The Commission released the IES result 2022 online and one copy of the result were posted at the office notice board at Dholpur House, UPSC building in New Delhi. USPC ESE main result 2022 was released online on August 3. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the IES main result 2022 with the names and roll numbers of the candidates. UPSC ESE main result 2022 selected 632 candidates for the interview phase. The highest number of candidates, 332 candidates, were selected for the Civil Engineering stream. UPSC IES results mention the roll number and names of the candidates separately for each engineering stream.

IES 2021 Result
UPSC ESE Result 2021 (final) was released online on March 28, 2022. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) post the hard copy of the result on its notice board. UPSC declared the names and roll numbers of 194 candidates selected for different streams. 29 candidates were selected for the provisional basis as some of their original documents are yet to be verified by UPSC. The total number of vacancies in the ESE exam 2021 was 225.
UPSC ESE result mentioned the names and the roll numbers of the selected candidates with their ranks. Kartikay Kaushik topped the Civil Engineering stream. Vineet Kumar topped the Mechanical Engineering Stream. Abhishek Kumar Sharma secured the first rank in the Electrical Engineering stream. Kuldeep secured the first rank in Electronics and Telecommunication branch.
UPSC released the IES 2021 Prelims Result PDF online on August 6. The total time taken by UPSC to evaluate and declare the result online was only 18 days. The IES Prelims Result contains the roll number of the candidates. UPSC release the IES Prelims Result with names soon after the result with roll numbers.
