IISER 2025 Counselling Process Documents Required

IISER 2025 results were declared on June 24, 2025, for admissions to the BS-MS, BS and BTech degree courses, which are being offered at IISER institutes, IISc Bangalore and IIT Madras institutes. In order to get admission to the programmes offered, merely getting an AIR rank will not be sufficient. Test takers need to apply for the IISER 2025 counselling process. Before registering for the process, candidates must know what are documents required for the IISER 2025 counselling process.

What is IISER 2025 Counselling?

The IISER 2025 Counselling process started from June 26, 2025, at 5 pm onwards for the candidates who got AIR rank/Category rank in IISER Aptitude Test 2025. Interested candidates were allowed to register for admissions from June 26, 2025, to July 3, 2025. Based on the availability of seats and number of registrations made in the counselling, the IISER 2025 seat allotment list will be released.

There will be four rounds of the IAT 2025 admission list, which will be released based on the seats that remained vacant in the previous rounds.

IISER seat allotment in the BS-MS programme for the academic session 2025-2026 is done as per the process mentioned below:

Step 1: Check IISER First-Round Allotment List

Once the IISER result is declared, a seat allotment list is declared containing roll numbers of candidates who are allocated seats in the BS-MS programme through different channels (SCB, KVPY, JEE). Candidates can check the first round allotment list on the official website of the exam.

Step 2: Download IISER Offer Letter

All candidates whose roll numbers appear in the first round allotment list need to log in to their application portal to download the offer letters.

Step 3: Pay IISER Seat Acceptance Fee

Next, candidates can accept the offer sent to them only after they pay the prescribed seat acceptance fee (SAF) by the stipulated date and time. Payment of SAF also confirms that a candidate is intending to join one of the IISERs.

Step 4: Check IISER Second Round Allotment List

After the first list, the institute also releases a second round allotment list containing roll numbers of candidates who are either allocated a seat in any of the IISERs or floated in the SCB second round.

Thereafter, candidates can repeat the process of downloading the offer letter and paying SAF mentioned above to confirm their admission.

Here is the list of complete documents required for the IISER 2025 Counselling process:

1. IISER 2025 Application Form (Printed Copy)

• Must be downloaded from the portal after final submission.

• Should be signed by the candidate.

2. IISER 2025 Admit Card

• Required to verify your candidature and participation in the entrance exam.

3. IAT/JEE Advanced/KVPY Scorecard

• Depending on the channel you applied through, submit the relevant scorecard.

• Only official downloaded PDF format is accepted.

4. Class 10 Marksheet / Birth Certificate

• Used to verify the Date of Birth.

• Must match the details entered in the application form.

5. Class 12 Marksheet and Passing Certificate

• Proof of qualification and subject eligibility.

• Candidates must have passed with science stream and required percentage.

6. Category Certificate (If Applicable)

• SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS category certificate issued by competent authority.

• Must be in the format prescribed by the Government of India.

• OBC-NCL certificate should not be older than April 1, 2025.

7. PwD Certificate (If Applicable)

• For candidates claiming reservation under Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category.

• Should specify the percentage of disability and be issued by a certified medical board.

8. Domicile Certificate (if applicable)

• Required for any IISER that gives reservation based on state domicile.

• To be submitted if mentioned during registration.

9. Photo Identity Proof

• Aadhar Card, Passport, Voter ID, Driving License, or PAN Card.

• Must match the identity proof used during application.

10. Passport Size Photographs

• Recent photographs as per the specifications (same as application form).

• Usually 2–4 photos are required.

11. Seat Allotment Letter

• Issued after the result of choice filling and seat allocation.

• Mandatory during final admission reporting.

12. Payment Receipt of Counselling Fee

• Proof of fee paid during the counselling registration.

• Keep both digital and printed copies.

Important Instructions Regarding Documents

Document Format and Size for Upload

• Most documents must be uploaded in PDF format.

• Size limit usually ranges from 100 KB to 1 MB.

• Photographs should be in JPG format.

Originals vs. Photocopies

• Carry both originals and self-attested photocopies at the time of physical reporting.

• Originals will be verified and returned.
