KCET 2026 Exam: The exam body, Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), will release the KCET notification 2026 soon. After the release of the notification, it will accept the KCET application form 2026. Students meeting the minimum eligibility criteria will be able to fill the application form of KCET 2026 from - cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. 

Candidates who successfully submit the online application form will be issued the KCET admit card 2026 to appear in the exam. The KCET 2026 exam is expected to be held in April in (pen and paper mode). Check more details related to the KCET 2026 here.

What is KCET?

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test, which is commonly known as the KCET, is an annual entrance exam. It is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) to shortlist students for admission into professional courses like Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharma), Diploma in Pharmacy (DPharma), Agriculture courses (Farm Science), and Veterinary courses.

Candidates who desire to take admission to Medical or Dental or Ayurveda or Unani or Homoeopathy courses must qualify National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam whereas candidates seeking admission to Architecture course through KCET must have qualified JEE Main Paper-2 or NATA to participate in KCET counselling.

Q:   What is the duration of KCET UGET exam?
A: 

Each paper of KCET exam 2025 is conducted for 80 minutes. The Kannada language exam of KCET will be conducted for 60 minutes for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates. KCET exam Biology and Mathematics exam will be conducted on same day while Physics & Chemistry exam will be conducted on separate day. 

Q:   What should I do if I find a question that is out of the syllabus or has wrong answer options in the KCET question paper?

KCET 2026 Result

KCET Result 2026 will be OUT in May 2026, tentatively. The Karnataka Examination Authority will release the KCET 2026 result online. The KCET 2026 scorecard will be available for download on the official website. A: 

Karnataka Examination Authority has released the KCET results online at the official website. In case two or more candidates score the same marks in the KCET exam then KEA opts for tie-breaking formula. The tie-breaking formula for KCET is given below. 

  • The marks secured in Biology / Mathematics will be considered BTech and other courses.    

  • If the tie still persists then the marks obtained by the candidates in Chemistry / Physics will be considered. BTech and other courses.  

  • If tie still persists then the marks obtained in specific subjects in the qualifying exam will be considered.  

  • If still the tie is not broken, then the candidate's age will be taken into consideration. The candidate with higher age will be assigned a higher rank.
