The online/distance degrees offered by the Centre for Distance and Online Education at Annamalai University are valid. Previously, the University Grants Commission (UGC) did not approve its courses starting from 2015. However, Annamalai University DDE  received relief from the Madras High Court in an order dated 21.01.2023. Subsequently, following a reassessment by the UGC, Annamalai DDE achieved a qualifying score of 3.38, which led to extending the validity of its programmes until 2027.

Annamalai University DDE offers BFA at the undergraduate (UG) level and MA, MBA, MCom, MFA, MSc, and MSW courses at the Postgraduate (PG) level. Candidates who are interested in getting admission to UG or PG courses offered by this university can apply by visiting the official website. AUDDE Admission portal will be expected to open on 01 January 2024. Students can apply for UG admission program-level courses if they have a 10+2 degree in the relevant subject from a university that is known to be good. Admission to courses in UG programs is based only on merit. For PG-level courses, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a university that is recognized. To get into the PG Diploma program, students must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least a 50% mark.

Interested applicants also need to pay a course-specific application fee to conclude the application process. The university is ranked among the top three Universities in India for best distance education providers. The University has educated over 4.5 Lacs students in the past and continues to teach over thousands more. Hence, it is a good university for candidates wanting to study a distance course.

Annamalai University offers BTech as a 4 year UG-level course with an annual intake of 1080 students. The University offers BTech with a tuition fees ranging from INR 1.5 Lacs to INR 7 Lakh. Admission to any specialisation of BTech, requires for candidates to secure a minimum aggregate of 45% in Class 12 or qualify the eligibility as suggested by Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Govt of Tamil Nadu.

Moreover, candidates must qualify for TNEA counselling. Annamalai University placement cell recorded an average package worth INR 3.8 LPA to INR 4.8 LPA, as per the previous placement stats. Therefore, proving the value of the degree, obtained from the University.
