No, candidates from other states cannot apply for the Andhra Pradesh EDECET 2025 exam. The Andhra Pradesh EDCET 2025 exam is conducted only for the students who have domicile in Andhra Pradesh and have resided in Andhra Pradesh for at least 10 years or candidates whose parents, or spouses are State/Central Government employees or working in Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Government owned Universities and other quasi-public institutions in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

APEdCET Eligibility Criteria 2026
To apply for the APEdCET exam candidates must have qualified graduation or post-graduation from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks. The minimum age to apply is 19 years while there is no maximum age limit. Candidates must have a permanent domicile in Andhra Pradesh. Also, as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order 1974 the admission to 85% of the seats in each methodology shall be reserved for the local candidates and 15% of the seats shall be left unreserved.
AP EdCET Exam Pattern 2026
To crack the APEdCET exam candidates must go through its exam pattern and have a look at the subjects on which the questions will be based, number of questions, and total marks. The detailed exam pattern of AP EdCET is mentioned below:
The exam body prescribes the Andhra Pradesh EDCET minimum qualifying marks 2025. The minimum qualifying marks are the lowest marks which candidates need to score in order to clear the exam. The minimum qualifying mark for the Andhra Pradesh EDCET 2025 exam is 25% for the unreserved categories. No minimum qualifying marks have been prescribed for the SC/ST categories. There will be no minimum qualifying marks for women in Physical Sciences / Mathematics methodologies.
While a domicile certificate is mandatory for applying, it is crucial for availing of reserved seats and state quota benefits. Candidates from other states can still apply under the open category but won't be eligible for domicile-based reservations.
