- Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree (BA, BSc, BCom) or a Master’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum required marks:
- General Category: 50%
- Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC): 45%
- Candidates pursuing final-year graduation are also eligible but must provide proof of passing at the time of admission.
- Age Limit
- There is no upper age limit to appear for the exam.
- Reservation Policy
- State-reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) and PwD candidates are provided relaxation in marks and seats as per Maharashtra government norms.
- Domicile Requirements
- Candidates from Maharashtra are given preference under state quotas, while others can apply under the open category.

As per the exam pattern, the question paper will be in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) format. Each correct answer will give candidates one mark and there will be no negative marking. The exam is conducted in two languages, English and Marathi, to cater to a diverse range of test-takers, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
The candidates can apply for BEd in Maharashtra by registering for the MAH BEd CET examination conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell every year. The forms will be available soon in December end.
A bachelor's degree (BA, BSc, B.Com, etc.) from a recognised university with a minimum of 50-55% aggregate marks. Some institutions might have some subject requirements.
