MAH BEd CET counselling schedule is expected to be released in June (tentatively). This will be the final stage after which the eligible candidates can get admission in the BEd course across Maharashtra colleges.
MAH BEd CET Counselling is usually conducted in three rounds. After the declaration of the MAH BEd CET Results, the conducting body organises the selection process, for which the important dates are:

What is CAP round in MAH CET?
The MAH BEd CET Centralised Admission Process (CAP) is an online counselling system conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, for seat allotment in BEd courses across the state. This structured process allocates seats based on candidates' CET scores and college preferences through the official portal cetcell.mahacet.org.
Only MAH BEd CET-qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling process. To begin, candidates must complete online registration on the official website before the deadline.

MAH BEd CET 2026 Counselling Process
The MAH BEd CET Counselling process is conducted through CAP (Centralized Admission Process). The counselling process started after the declaration of the MAH BEd CET 2026 results. All the qualified candidates can appear in the MAH BEd CET counselling process, conducted in online and offline modes. Through the counselling process, all the qualified candidates are allotted seats in BEd courses by colleges and universities accepting MAH BEd CET scores.
MAH BEd CET Counselling or CAP will include the following steps:
- Online registration by candidates and filling up CAP form in online mode.
- Online verification of documents
- Updating and confirmation of MAH BEd CET 2026 Application Form.
- Candidates need to produce original documents for verification rounds.
- Candidates need to display the final merit list.
- And then candidates are required to report to the allotted institute.
- Confirmation of admission.

Candidates can fill their institute choices in order from most preferred to least, as told by the Competent Authority. The option form once confirmed before CAP Round 1 will be used for seat allotment in CAP Round 1 and 2. The option form confirmed before CAP Round 3 will be counted only for allotment in CAP Round 3.

- Make your account and register for BEd CET counselling online.
- Fill your personal and education details carefully and upload scanned documents like photo, signature and certificates.
- Pay the counselling processing fee online to finish the BEd CET registration process.
Fee for Registration Fee (During Application):
- Open/OMS/All India: Around ₹1300.
- Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC/SBC/PWD/Orphan/Transgender - Maharashtra only): Around ₹1000.
Seat Acceptance Fee (After Allotment):
A one-time fee of ₹1000 is mandatory to "Freeze" your seat and confirm admission after allotment

Release of the Alphabetical and Final Merit List
The Alphabetical and Final Merit Lists for MAH BEd CET are released by the Maharashtra CET Cell after counselling registration, with the Alphabetical List (provisional) published first, allowing for grievances, followed by the Final Merit List, which enables college option filling for CAP rounds

After counselling registration and e-verification, the exam authority will release the alphabetical merit list.

Once the list is out, candidates can send complaints if they find any issue.

The admission committee will check all concerns, and if they are correct, they will publish the final merit list.

College option form filling for round 1 and round 2 will start after the final merit list is declared.

Candidates whose names appear in the final merit list can choose colleges based on their choice. The options you give during this time will stay valid for CAP round 1 and round 2.

Seat Allotment and Result Announcement
MAH BEd Seat Allotment happens in CAP Rounds on the CET Cell portal after results, based on merit, choices (Freeze/Betterment)
- Candidates are assigned seats based on their merit rank, web options, and availability. The seat allotment result is announced on the official CAP portal.
- Aspirants must download the provisional allotment letter from their candidate login window.
- They must submit a copy of the provisional allotment letter to the assigned college during the college reporting period.
- If aspirants are allotted a seat as per their first preference during the choice-filling process, the allotment is considered final. They must give consent and select the "Freeze" option to confirm the seat. These candidates will not be eligible to participate in further college option rounds and must confirm the allotment by paying a one-time seat acceptance fee of INR 1,000 through the candidate login portal.
- Shortlisted candidates must report to the allocated institute for the checking of their documents and confirm their admission by paying the prescribed college fees.
- Aspirants who are not allotted their first preference but still wish to confirm their admission may also use the Freeze option.
- Candidates who do not wish to confirm their current allotment can select the "Betterment" option and proceed to Round 2 and Round 3 of the counselling process.

Documents Required in MAH BEd CET Counselling
During the MAH BEd CET 2026 counselling process (CAP), candidates must upload scanned copies of all required documents at the time of online registration. After seat allotment, they are also required to visit the allotted college and present the original documents for verification. This step is mandatory to confirm admission and complete the counselling process.
