Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) is also known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU). It is a public university & founded in 2000. The direct admission is provided only on vacant seats at institution or college level. The eligibility criteria for direct admission on seats remaining vacant in the first year after entrance examination counselling shall be such as may be notified from time to time. The general admission process for AKTU BTech course is through entrance exam. The university accepts national or state-level entrance exams like JEE Main, CUET, KEAM or IPU CET.
The selection will be followed by counselling. The counselling process of shortlisted candidates will be managed and regulated by AKTU based on which the candidates will be allotted seats. Thus, the competition to gain admission for the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), AKTU is average. As per the requirement of the institute the students should have passed 10+2 examination and must have scored 50% marks in physics chemistry and mathematics. Candidates enrolled in the Ph.D. programme at AKTU on a regular basis are eligible for a monthly stipend of INR 31,000 from MHRD for the first two years of the programme and a monthly stipend of INR 35,000 for the next three years of the course of study; after completing five years, if students are still working on their Doctoral degree, then they are provided monthly financial assistance of INR 12,000 for only one year. Ph.D. scholars are eligible for Stipend only if they have qualified for national-level entrance examinations such as UGC/ CSIR NET (JRF) examination, SET, GATE (with a valid score), or Teacher Research Fellowship.

Yes, AKTU accepts CUET score for BTech. AKTU admission to BTech through CUET is for two specialisations:

AKTU marksheet is prepared based on the theory and practical marks of the students. In the last or final year of the course, students are required to submit a project work. As per the official website, non-submission of the project report will not effect the theory marks.
