AMU offers MSc as a two-year postgraduate programme offered in the full-time mode. To be eligible to pursue MSc at AMU, candidates must have scored at least 55% in Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline. Hence, a candidate scoring less that 50% in their graduation degree is not eligible to apply for the programme. Such candidates can pursue MSc at some other college or university. Aligarh Muslim University accepts Persian/4 exam to shortlist candidates for admission to seven undergraduate courses.

Candidates seeking admission to any of the above-listed courses need to fill out the CUET application form through the CUET official website to appear for the entrance exam. Apart from CUET, the candidates also need to register on the AMU official website for application form, counselling and Persian/9

The minimum marks required for admission to AMU depends on the selected course. Generally, for all the UG courses the minimum requirement is that the candidate must have passed class 12 with a minimum 50% aggregate and for AMU PG courses admission, 50% in graduation is required.

Yes, Aligarh Muslim University admission to most of the courses is based on CUET scores. Admission to AMU undergraduate courses including  BSc (Hons.) Community Science, BA (Hons/Research), BVoc in Production Technology, Polymer and Coating Technology and Fashion Design & Garment Technology and BSc (Hons/Research) is completely based on valid Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) scores. From the academic session 2022, all the central universities along with a few state-deemed universities and private universities started accepting CUET scores for admission to their UG and PG courses.
