The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will conduct the entrance exams for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Aligarh and other test cities. AMU Entrance Exam 2026 Test Centre Instructions
Candidates should be careful of a few things on the exam day at the test centres allotted to them. Candidates who are going to appear for the AMU Law Entrance Exam 2026 must follow the given AMU Exam Day Instructions mentioned below.
- Reach the exam centre at least an hour before the exam timings i.e. if the exam begins at 10 am, then candidates should report to their allotted exam centre before 9 am.
- Carry the admit card of the AMU entrance exam 2026 as issued to them by the university for appearing in the examination.
- Carry a valid photo ID proof as issued by the competent authority, such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, and two passport-size photographs. Keep the ID proof in the original as well as a photocopy.
- Paste a recent and coloured photograph (same as upload in the application form) on the admit card before appearing for the test.
- Visit the exam centre and check the seating arrangement list by the centre officials, and follow the instructions in the same manner.
- Do not switch seats with any candidate, even if the test is a pen-and-paper-based exam.
- Do not write anything on the admit card, including your signature, unless told by the exam centre invigilator.
- Carry two black ball-pointed pens required to mark answers on the OMR sheet.
- Avoid taking any eatables, bags/ wallets, mobile phones, calculators, study material/ books/ notes, or any electronic device to the exam centre.

The AMU BA LLB Entrance Exam is conducted for 100 marks in offline mode as a pen-and-paper based test. It is an objective-type paper which includes English, GK & Current Affairs, and Reasoning and Aptitude. There is negative marking as well, 0.25 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
