No, the FTII JET eligibility criteria for some courses is different than the others. Aspirants wanting to get admission at Film and Television Institute of India must check the eligibility requirements for their target course before filling and submitting FTII JET application form. On clearing the Joint Entrance Test (JET), students can get admission into Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) as well as the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute of India (SRFTI). These two premiere institutes are the conducting body of FTII JET as well. Candidates who qualify in this exam will be eligibile to take up film making related courses in either of the two institutes.

No, FTII only offers admission to PG diploma, MFA degrees and Certificate courses through FTII JET entrance exam. FTII JET entrance exam is conducted in 2 stages. Stage 1 icludes Paper 1 (MCQs) and Paper 2 (Descriptive). FTII releases marking scheme for Stage 1 Paper 1 exam only. Check below for FTII JET marking scheme for Paper 1.

• -0.5 for every incorrect answer

The FTII JET exam total marks are 100 marks. In Part A of Paper I: one mark is awarded to each right question and 0.25 is deducted on the wrong answer. In Part B of Paper I: two marks are awarded to each right question. However, the questions may have one or more right answers, so candidates need to select all the correct options, failing which they will be given partial marks. This part also has the provision of negative marking.

If you have not completed your graduation or if you are waiting for your graduation results during FTII JET exam, you can still appear for test. But, you will have to submit proof of graduation qualification during document verification process. If you fail to do so, your application will be rejected, no matter if you qualify the test.

Yes, the FTII JET application form 2026 will be available on the official website. In order to apply for the admission to FTII and SRFTI, candidates will have to visit the official website of FTII at ftii.ac.in and fill in the application form in online mode and pay the application fee successfully in online mode (Debit/Credit card/UPI or Net Banking). Any offline means to pay the application fee like demand draft, cheque or cash is not acceptable.

Yes, while filling the FTII JET application form 2026 if candidates want to submit their application fee in online mode, they can do the same by using their credit card/ debit card/ net banking or UPI. There no provision of submitting the FTII JET application fee through demand draft facility or through cheque or in the form of cash.
