At the time of Online Counselling, the candidates have to pay a certain amount as an initial deposit. The Initial Deposit will be adjusted against the Tuition Fee
If an applicant declines admission after the publication of Tentative Allotment OR an applicant who is not allotted a Branch during Provisional Allotment shall be eligible for 100% Refund of the Initial Deposit
If a candidate does not join the branch offered in the University Department of Anna University after Provisional Allotment and seeks a refund, only 80% of the initial amount paid will be refunded.
The Eligible Refund Amount will be Credited to the Bank Account of the Applicant Only. Students must upload a copy of the first page of the bank passbook, which is in the name of the Applicant.

Admission procedure to Anna University BTech and BE courses occurs under the TNEA counselling procedure that is usually based on Class 12 marks. Entrance exam is not taken and seat allotment will be on the basis of rank list of TNEA. Anna University offers BTech course in different specialisations, such as AI and Data Science, CSE, Biotechnology, etc. Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu organizes TNEA. Dissatisfied with the college.

Placements: Around 80–90% of students are eligible. But the placements are very limited. The highest package is 44 LPA. But we are still not certain whether it is an off campus or on-campus placement. The lowest package is 2 LPA. Among the top recruiting companies, JP Morgan is one of the best.

Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is quite poor. Classrooms are better up to the 2nd floor. The third, fourth, and fifth floors are still under construction. The classrooms sometimes do not have proper ventilation. The Wi-Fi provided by the college. It is not available on the fourth and fifth floors and is very weak. I commute to college from my home, so I don't know about the hostel.

Faculty: The quality of teaching depends on the faculty we choose. Some faculty members, such as the heads of their respective subjects, teach very well, while other faculty members ask us to do the work and pass the time. It is not worth the money. Instead of studying the subject, we just study the repository of questions and pass the subjects. No real knowledge is gained except for the space on my laptop.

Good course. It needs to be updated for students and to let them know its importance.

Placements: 20 percent of students are getting placed. The highest package is 8 LPA. Students got it but are still waiting for an office call. The lowest package is 3 LPA, some of them are getting placed at this. Startups are coming periodically. Many of the students are going for internships and going for their required roles and interests. Top roles are based on the companies they attend and the roles they are looking for.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is only for staff. The labs are there. The classrooms are good to sit in and comfortable. The library contains only technical books and articles. I haven't stayed in the hostel, but my friend is there and he said the food and room are regular. The mess is only for hostelers. We have to pay for mess food from the office. Canteen is too average now only it's getting upgraded. Medical PSV Hospital is opposite the college. Sports are held once a week, and games are only during sports time.

Faculty: Teachers are good to handle, knowledgeable, and good at guiding. There is a good quality of staff. Course curriculum is great for B.Tech IT and covers all technical knowledge. They are very helpful after the course. By the way it's easy to complete all semesters with good marks and learn concepts. Pass percentage is more than 90 percent.

Other: I chose B.Tech IT for an IT job and I got that. I got all the things from the course and self-learning. The best thing is that all the content is covered in this course. The course needs to improve by telling the students what we are going to work on in real time in an organisation.

Great balance between academic and cultural work.

Placements: Apart from placements, this college provides you with a lot of opportunities. The highest package I know is 20 LPA. The opportunities seem really good. Otherwise, our skills determine the placement. A lot of companies actually recruit here, like Siemens and Hitachi.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure isn't that modernised, and yet it's a small campus loaded with buildings. The quality of the hostel seems good, but its fees are way above it. Food seems average in hostels. They have a good Centre of Excellence here. The college seems pretty good for academic and cultural balance, but the campus seems very small.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful if students are genuinely engaging and focusing on improving their skills. About the curriculum, it's a bit different from other colleges. We tend to learn subjects based on our department from Year 1 itself. Semester exams aren't that difficult. Mostly, one can easily pass them by learning the respective subjects.

Our college is good for placements and good faculty.

Placements: There is a separate placement team that brings many on-campus drives from different stream companies. Every batch has at least 20 on-campus drives. 80 percent of students get placed in the on-campus drive. The college also provides the details of many off campus drives, and the packages are as per the market. Many companies like TCS, IBM, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, etc. MNCs visit every year.

Infrastructure: The college is away from the city with peaceful surroundings and a green environment. The college has different blocks for each stream and a bus facility from all over the city. Each department has very good labs and classrooms are equipped with digital technology. The college provides free Wi-Fi to students on campus. There is hostel facility for both boys and girls with separate blocks.

Faculty: Every department has very qualified and experienced faculty. Each department has faculty with PhDs and more than 8 years of experience. The faculty is very up-to-date with technology and helpful to students in encouraging them to improve their skills and knowledge. SRM VEC College has some restrictions in the dress code. There are no cultural events.

Placements: Last year, out of 60 students, nearly 15 got placed. The package offered is less than 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Hexaware Technologies and Johnson Lifts, etc. The overall placement is average. I would suggest people not to expect more from the college placements. They have to put effort into off-campus also.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are quite neat and clean and the seminar hall has AC. The classrooms only have around 6 fans and the seating capacity of around 120 members. Maybe the classrooms make it an AC upgrade, and the department is located on the 10th floor of the college. Still, we have an issue with the lift because it is overloaded and we can't use it in the morning and evening because of overcrowding. The library has plenty of books. The canteen is in decent condition.

Faculty: Teachers are good. Teaching quality is too good. The course curriculum is good. It doesn't make the students industry-ready, still they train students to get into a job. The semester exams are somehow difficult still it is an autonomous college. The pass percentage is around 80 percent.

Other: Electronics and instruments in engineering is a required course in the AI era. The best things about my course are PLC, SCADA, automation, and robotics. The Laboratories may need an update in future years. These fests and culturals do not happen at all in SRMVEC. Yet we can go and see SRMIST events like Yatra, Lemuria, and Milan. For good exposure in the electronics field, you can choose this department.
