Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) is located on the sprawling campus of 250 acres in Patiala. One of the India’s oldest technical institutes is known to have a World class infrastructure. Hostels

Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology has 17 on-campus hostels, out of which 10 hostels are allocated to boys and remaining 7 hostels are allocated to girls. Thapar University hostels are equipped with high speed wi-fi and all the basic amenities required to live a comfortable life away from home. Thapar University Boys Hostels

The university has 10 hostels for boys residing on the campus. The hostels rooms are fully furnished, with study table, wardrobe, bookrack, mattress, geyser and curtains. All the TIET hostels have facilities of TV room, reading room, mess, parking area, indoor games and laundry. Thapar University boys hostels can accommodate approximately 7,600 students. The residents can opt for single seater, double seater and three-seater rooms.

Thapar University Girls Hostels

TIET Patiala has allotted a total of 7 hostels to female residents. Each hostel room is furnished with bed, study table, curtains, and almirah. Thapar University girls hostels have provision of TV lounge, gymnasium, study area, night café and laundry services. TIET girls hostels can accommodate approximately 3,700 residents. The students can opt for single, double and three-seater rooms.

Sports Arena

Thapar University campus has well-maintained playgrounds and a sports arena which have provisions for various sports and games. TIET campus has a badminton hall, cricket ground, International standard synthetic athletic track, synthetic basketball court, football ground and synthetic tennis court. The university’s campus also houses a gymnasium and swimming pool complex equipped with all modern facilities.

Health Center

Thapar University health center is equipped with restroom, dressing room and a fully operational dispensary. TIET health center address to a range of medical needs of all the stakeholders. The health center situated in the Thapar University campus offers comprehensive primary healthcare and emergency medical services.
