Admission to the 5-year IPG (BTech + MTech in IT (Information Technology) is through JEE (Mains) held annually, and subsequent JoSSA/CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) counselling. Candidates can refer to the table below to know about the previous year's cutoff for the integrated programme:

IIITM Gwalior offers five M.Tech specialisations. These are Computer Networking, Information Security, VLSI & Embedded Systems, Information Technology and Digital Communication. There are 60 seats reserved for the M.Tech programme at IIITM Gwalior. The total fee of the M.Tech programme at  IIITM Gwalior ranges between INR 2.44 Lacs - INR 6.5 lakh.

IIITM admits students to its BTech and dual degree programmes based on their JEE Mains marks; however, students seeking MTech admission must meet the IIITM Gwalior GATE cut-off. To be eligible for the next stage of admissions, students must fulfil the IIITM Gwalior cut-off for their particular category. Admission for all the courses is based on various national-level entrance exams, followed by the counselling sessions of the respective courses. For courses such as BTech, MTech, and MBA,  Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (IIITM) Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh accepts valid scores of JEE Main, CAT, and GATE, respectively. The Institute offers courses at UG, PG, PhD, and Integrated levels. The PhD admission are conducted twice every year.
