Our campus life is very good.

Placements: Around 80% of students got placed in this course. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Adrosonic, Wipro, TCS, and Infosys. Almost 72% of students got internships in this course. Top roles offered are data scientist, data analyst, data engineer, machine learning engineer, statistician, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Hostel is better. Double occupancy rooms are average. Classrooms are air-conditioned. Our campus is Wi-Fi enabled. CCTV cameras are installed in this college. There is a huge library on our campus. Several books are available in the library.

Faculty: Faculty members are very knowledgeable. The teaching quality is better. They always clarify our doubts. Semester exams are not tough. The passing percentage is 90%.

It is an excellent college and worth it.

Placements: As this is a new course so there are no exact placements data available anywhere, but this course structure is good so placements must be good after the first batch of this course will pass out, and students can check salaries for data scientists online for different companies.

Infrastructure: Our campus area is 780 acres and infrastructure is old as the college is very old i.e established in 1955. All the laboratories and classrooms are good. Almost all the games are provided like football, table tennis, cricket, etc. Everything is good in this college.

Faculty: All the faculty members are good and exceptionally intelligent and our course structure is unmatchable with any course in India in any college. Data science with economics is a great choice and students can go for software development roles as well.

Other: I am from quantitative economics and data science and the batch size is 30.

A pretty good choice if you aren't getting into top NITs.

Placements: The integrated 5-year master's program in Quantitative Economics and Data Science was introduced at BIT Mesra in 2021. Currently, there is no batch graduating, as the first batch will pass out in 2025. As far as placements are concerned, our faculty is pretty relaxed about it, as our seniors are getting internships at good places, and our course is designed in a way that meets industry requirements.

Infrastructure: Since our course is relatively new, all the faculty members are young and eager to teach. Our classrooms are air-conditioned, and the labs are well maintained. However, regarding the hostel, the rooms are awful and too small for two people to accommodate. The mess food is pretty average; as a non-vegetarian, they serve non-veg items three times a week, which is decent. The sports facilities are top-notch; we have a cricket oval, two day/night basketball courts, two volleyball courts, an athletic ground, a football ground, and an indoor badminton court, with table tennis in each hostel. There is also a dispensary at BIT Mesra where a doctor is always available.

Faculty: Our faculty members are very good, to be honest. One cannot expect spoon-feeding in college, but they will provide you with the knowledge even if you don't know anything. All faculty members are very passionate about teaching, but there is academic pressure at BIT Mesra. We have two quizzes, a mid-semester exam, and an end-semester exam, which are easy if you pay enough attention to classes, and a relative grading system is followed.

Other: The campus crowd is mixed, as many students come with low ranks through home state and backward caste quotas. However, there are also people from all over India with great ranks. The fests are pretty average; you shouldn't expect something like Mood Indigo or anything of that caliber. There are many clubs that may interest you. The campus has buses running all day that connect you with the main city, as Mesra is on the outskirts of Ranchi.

Review of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.

Placements: All students are placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 32 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 8 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 15 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Goldman Sachs and Wipro. Almost all students got internships from various companies and the top role offered was data scientist.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our department are too classy. Our campus is well-equipped with Wi-Fi and all facilities required by students. Our library has almost every book that we need and there is never an issue. The food served in the mess is good and sports facilities are world-class equipped with everything that one requires.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are knowledgeable and have graduated from the best colleges in this country. The teaching quality has always been good. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are neither easy nor hard. They are pretty moderate. The pass percentage in our college is 95%.

I am neither dissatisfied nor satisfied, but happy with what I got.

Placements: Since this is a new course (started from 2021), students did not get placed. There is no official record, but I heard from seniors that some students got very good packages (like 30-40 LPA). The decent package offered ranges from 15-18 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft and one more, which I am not able to recall. Approximately 30-40 percent of students got internships. The best role offered is a data analyst.

Infrastructure: The campus is big, but it has great potential to be one of the greatest campuses in India. Many places on the campus are only trees, and all that's good because the AQI is good on the campus. Still, there are places where much infrastructure can be built.

Faculty: Teachers are very good. Some of them are knowledgeable. It is common that not all teachers are very good, but that doesn't mean they are not knowledgeable. The course structure is very relevant, unlike the old-fashioned B.Tech course structure.

Other: I chose this course because of the combination of the course. I wish to get good placements. Several events happen in the college, like Bitotsav, Pantheons, Aagman, etc. The campus life is too good. It offers scholarships, but only for some people, so I wish to increase that number. Many sports activities are conducted, like the inter-hostel tournament and the inter-college cricket tournament.

The college is satisfactory with above-average sports facilities and curriculum in QEDS.

Placements: QEDS is a new branch, and the placement report is not out yet. Many students have some sort of success. Vedai is one of the prominent startups from the branch. Few have their own funded startups, and few students get placed. Roles like data engineers, data scientists, software developers, and business analysts are offered here.

Infrastructure: QEDS labs are great. The advanced data science labs are very beautiful. The overall infrastructure of the college is above average. The college continuously renovates to keep it up to the mark. Girl's hostel has a gate, and girls are not allowed out of the hostel after 9 PM.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, and some teachers are great. The college has a few professors in the world's top 2 percent of scientists. The QEDS course curriculum is quite up to the mark, apart from the electives that are compulsory, and those might not be very fun. The difficulty at the start is great because of Maths, calculus, statistics, probability, and programming subjects.

Other: Fests organised are great. The scenery is great. It has above-average sports facilities and no swimming pool. The only issue is that after 9 PM, the library is closed on weekdays and 6 PM on weekends. Not much hype for interhostel tournaments. Although people who want to enjoy can enjoy anywhere. Shops on campus are shut around 8:30 PM. It has vending machines. Students can prefer NITs over this because it is a semi-government college, but the government does contribute much, so it operates more like a private body with restrictions. The branch has its own club that hosts programs and conferences in the field.
