Yes. The Non-GATE entrants can take admission with a valid Department Admission Test (DAT) score or ‘A and B’ exams score conducted by the Institution of Engineers (India). Candidates can apply for the DAT exam by visiting the CUSAT website.

Aspirants need to fill out the online form (admission.cusat.ac.in) and submit it for being eligible to take admission. However, the seat allotment for each M.Tech programme shall be on the applicant’s GATE score. Candidates without a GATE exam score can take CUSAT DAT/ Sections A and B exam by the Institution of Engineers (India).

CAT is one of the accepting exams for CUSAT MBA admission. There are two types of CAT accepted for MBA. One is CAT conducted by conducted by IIM for admission to MBA programme. The other is CUSAT CAT conducted by Cochin University of Science and Technology. CUSAT CAT is accepted for MBA and other courses except PhD and Diploma programmes. Cochin University of Science and Technology admission to MSc programmes is based on the CUSAT CAT (Common Admission Test) score. The entrance exam is conducted by the Directorate of Admissions. Candidates who appear for the entrance examination and secure a good score shall be eligible to take admission.  Besidesm aspirants must also fulfil the eligibility requirements specific to MSc specialisations.
