CSJMU BTech requires students to pass Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The selection is based on JEE (Main). This is followed by CSJMU counselling.

The reservation of seats to SC, ST, OBC, Differently Abled candidates, EWS and dependents of Army personnels shall be governed by prevailing Uttar Pradesh State Government orders/as per rules laid down by CSJM University. There are a total of 390 seats for BTech course in campus and affiliated colleges. Candidates can get a seat in BTech programme of CSJMU based on their CUET-UG or JEE Main score.

CSJMU JEE Main Cutoff in 2021 for the General category candidates under the Home State quota, ranged from 98162 to 818777 for admission to various BTech programmes in the last round closing ranks. The course which was the toughest of admission was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence), with the last round cutoff being 98162. The course which was the easiest for admission was BTech in Chemical Engineering. 

Kanpur University BTech course total tuition fee ranges between INR 3.4 lakh and INR 4.2 lakh. Hence, the total fee at the time of admission varies. The components for fee calculation are institution fees, caution amount, semester fees, exam fees, security deposit, etc. Candidates will have to submit some amount at the time of admission and then semester-wise. Apart from the course fee, aspirants need to register with an application fee via any of the online payment modes. 

CSJMU placement 2025 was good. According to the Admission brochure 2026 released, 81 campus drives and 440 selections were made. The median and highest package this year was 12.5 LPA and 3.2 LPA. The median package in BTech and MBA courses was 3.25 LPA and 3.5 LPA in 2024.

Yes, Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2026 registration has commenced at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA released the CUET 2026 notification on January 03. Soon after the release of the CUET official notification, the CUET registration 2026 process has commenced online at the official website. Candidates willing to appear for the CUET 2026 exam must make sure to complete the application form online. Additionally, before filling application form, candidates must make sure that they fulfill the prescribed CUET eligibility criteria to qualify for the entrance exam.
