CUSAT MBA Eligibility & Highlights 2025
Through its School of Management Studies (SMS), Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) offers a full-time MBA lasting two years. Further, the university offers an Evening MBA programme lasting three years. Admission to these courses is based on the applicants' performance in CAT (IIM)/ CMAT (AICTE)/ KMAT (Kerala)/ CUET PG (10% supernumerary seats), followed by GD and PI rounds conducted by SMS.
The university also offers MBA courses through CUSAT-affiliated colleges, such as Bhavan's Royal Institute of Management, Asian School of Business, KVM College of Engineering and IT, etc. Candidates seeking MBA admission at the university must fulfil the following CUSAT MBA eligibility criteria:
- Aspirants must have passed a Bachelor's degree with any subjects and a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent CGPA

SEBC candidates of Kerala State belonging to the non-creamy layer category are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks required in the Bachelor's degree
The university also offers a two-year Executive MBA. In addition to meeting the aforementioned eligibility criteria, candidates seeking admission to the Executive MBA programme must have at least two years of work experience (after graduation) in an executive/ managerial/ professional/ entrepreneurial role in a start-up/ Commercial/ Government establishment/ registered non-profit organization and should be currently employed in similar roles.

CUSAT MBA Admission Dates 2025

CUSAT MBA Admission 2025: How to Apply?
The CUSAT MBA admission process includes online registration, selection process, admission confirmation, etc. All the steps included in the process of CUSAT admission for an MBA are discussed below in detail:
Step 1: CUSAT MBA Application Process 2025
The CUSAT application process can be completed in online mode only. Before applying, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the preset eligibility criteria. Candidates can follow the steps below to fill out and submit the application form:
Step 1.1: Visit the university's online portal (admission.cusat.ac.in) to register.
Step 1.2: Fill out the form by entering personal and educational background details.
Step 1.3: Upload signature and photograph.
- For Photograph – Upload passport-size photo with dimensions 150 px X 57 px and file size not more than 500 KB
- For Signature – File size shall not be more than 100 KB, and the dimensions should be 130 px X 57 px
Step 1.4: Preview the filled-out form and check for discrepancies.
Step 1.5: Pay the CUSAT MBA application fee below and submit the form.
Step 2: Selection Rounds
Admission to the university's MBA programme is entrance-based. The university provides admission to candidates with a valid score in KMAT/ CMAT/ IIM-CAT/ CUET PG (for 10% supernumerary seats). Candidates shortlisted based on the entrance exam score are further called for group discussion and personal interview rounds.
Step 3: Rank List
The final rank list for MBA admission at CUSAT will be based on aptitude tests, marks obtained in personal interviews and group discussion rounds in the ratio of 70:15:15, respectively. The normalisation procedure of the scores in KMAT, CMAT and IIM-CAT will be decided by the University/ Admission Committee.

CUSAT MBA Curriculum
CUSAT offers MBA for a duration of two years and part-time MBA for three years. In the first year of MBA programme, the foundational aspects of Business and Management is focused. Students are also exposed to the fundamental concepts in various functional areas of management. In the second year, the students can choose their electives from a list of numerous integrative courses, depending on their preferred choice of specialisation. CUSAT MBA/PGDMCUSAT MBA Seats 2025
The total number of MBA seats at CUSAT includes the MBA seats available at CUSAT-affiliated colleges. In total, there are 630 seats at CUSAT for an MBA. The university also reserves seats for candidates belonging to various categories, such as EWS, Differently-abled, Transgenders, Army Officers (ARQ), etc. Further, 50% of seats are reserved for candidates having a minimum of three years of supervisory/ executive experience after the UG degree. In the absence of a sufficient number of eligible candidates from the aforesaid category, vacant seats are treated as open to all candidates.
