Good infrastructure and good placements are available at GIET University.

Placements: Approximately 90-100 percent of students get placed in the last year. Placements of this institution are more than 90 percent every year. A lot of job offers are offered by companies like Google, Flipkart, and Amazon, with a good package for students. The package offered is more than 4 LPA, and the average package offered is 10 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is big and well-designed. The infrastructure of the hostel is not much better. Our hostel provides Wi-Fi with a daily limit of 2 GB, but the speed of the Wi-Fi is very slow. In some classrooms, there is no Wi-Fi network, but the Wi-Fi network is available in labs.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They lack in the way of teaching. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry, and it makes students industry-ready. Exams are of 3 hours duration for end-semester and 2 hours in mid-semester. The pass percentage is 90 percent.

Other: There are many clubs that build our overall personality and skills.

Placement are okay. It is recommended.

Placements: 800 students are placed in the B.Tech CSE and in our AI course more than 300 students are placed. The maximum package is 7.5 LPA to 8 LPA and the average is 4 LPA to 5 LPA. The job fields are good before 2022 but now this is okay. Top recurring companies are TCS Accenture Infosys, and High Radius. 1200 students are in B.Tech in different courses. The top role offered in our course is a more comprehensive package with a higher salary.

Infrastructure: The hostels provided are okay and manageable. They offer 2 BHK 3 BHK, and 5 BHK rooms with attached washrooms and bathrooms. They provide 2 GB of Wi-Fi for every student per day in the room. The class infrastructure is okay. The quality of the mess food is okay and the canteen food is very tasty.

Faculty: Every teacher is more knowledgeable and qualified but some of them are helpful. Maximum teachers assist us with knowledge. Teaching quality is okay. If the questions are made by the college faculty then the questions will be easy for us. If they are made by outside institutes then they may be difficult. The pass percent is 80 to 90 percent.

Well-qualified teachers, good placements, and overall a satisfying college experience.

Placements: Around 80 to 90 percent of students were placed in our course during the last admission period. The company provides the highest package of 25 Lacs per annum, the lowest package is 5 LPA, and the average package is around 8 to 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Google, Amazon, TCS, Flipkart, etc.

Infrastructure: Our Department of Computer Science and Engineering provides many facilities. All classrooms are smart classrooms with projectors, digital boards, and centralized air conditioning. The department provides high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity across the campus. The university has a large health center with many doctors available 24/7.

Faculty: Teachers in the department are highly qualified, experienced, and knowledgeable. Most of them hold Ph.D. or M.Tech degrees from reputed institutes. The teaching quality is excellent, combining theoretical concepts with practical labs. The pass percentage is around 40 percent.

Before 2020, the placement was good, but now it is not okay.

Placements: Around 800 to 900 students are placed in the B.Tech CSE. The maximum package will be 7.5 LPA to 8 LPA. The job fields were good before 2020, but now this is okay. Top recurring companies are TCS, Accenture, Infosys, and High Radius. Around 1200 students are in B.Tech in different courses.

Infrastructure: The hostels provided are okay. They offer 2 BHK, 3 BHK, and 5 BHK rooms. They provide 2 GB of Wi-Fi. In the room, there is 1 attached toilet and bathroom. The class infrastructure is okay. Similarly, the teacher quality is okay.

Faculty: Not all teachers are helpful. Some teachers assist us with knowledge. Teaching quality is okay. If the questions are made by the college faculty, then the questions will be easy for us. If they are made by outside institutes, then they may be difficult. Most of the students will pass.

Other: I chose this course for a job because in the market, CSE has a good market value.

Harsh truth of placements at GIET University.

Placements: In one word, no. They fake the placements by showing high package placements which are all off campus. College has no role in it. GIET University facilitates placements with a range of companies, but it's important to note that the typical salary package is generally not more than 6.5 LPA. Many of the higher salary packages reported are often from off-campus placements. Additionally, student attendance is a significant factor in placement eligibility. While the university has a placement cell, individual placement success is also considerably influenced by students' consistent attendance and proactive efforts in developing their skills.

Infrastructure: As for infrastructure, it won't meet your expectations. Only one hostel building is ok and the rest blocks are not good at all. It has 105 acres of land but most of the place is filled with trash and not usable. There are no AC hostel rooms. Only computer labs have AC and AC is not present anywhere. But talking about the place, Gunupur is not a good place. You will not find a place to enjoy yourself with friends, you will feel something is missing. There is no good restaurant or place to go with friends.

Faculty: The only thing that is good in this college is faculty members. But most of the faculty members of computer science branch don't know anything. Now coming to exams, after one exam just link your eye and another exam will have come. If you want to gain extra knowledge, library is not the place. Because in library, you cannot see and select the book. If you want you will have to ask the librarian for the book.
